4.3 Engine oil
Oil quality
All oil brands that meet at least one of the following specifications are suita-
ble:
▪ ACEA – B2 / E2 or better
▪ API – CD / CE / CF / CF-4 / CG-4 or better
If engine oils of a low quality standard are used, the oil change interval must
be reduced from 250 to 150 or from 500 to 250 operating hours depending
on the engine specification.

Choose the recommended viscosity based on the type of start (recoil, crank-
handle or electric) and on the engine temperature at which the engine will be
operated.
CAUTION
Engine damage from unsuitable engine oil.
Using engine oil that does not meet the above specifications
considerably shortens the engine service life.
