Good Heat Shield Protection requires that the
Brooder remain level at all times.
HEAT SHIELD INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS
Safe and efficient operation requires that the brooder be installed to meet the clearance distances as indicated in
Figure 1. In addition, the brooder must remain level during operation to effectively allow the heat shield to
function properly. To ensure that the brooder is not dropped below the set level from the floor or tilted due to
gas lines, attach a cable clamp to the pulley line next to the top pulley. See Figure 2.
These recommendations are based upon test results with both a level and tilted brooder canopy. See the next
section.
