4.Operating Instructions

① Transformer Jaws
② Trigger
③ Output Leads

4.1 Preparation for Measurement
Connect output leads to an AC voltmeter.
The output voltage of the clamp adaptor is 1.5V against 1,500A Input current.
Select an appropriate range of voltmeter in accordance with the current to be measured.

4.2 AC Current Measurement
Press the trigger to open the transformer jaw and clamp on a conductor.
Take the reading of the voltmeter and convert it into amperage.
For example, the reading and measured value will be as follows when the 0 to 2V range
of a digital multi meter is used:
Reading of Digital Multimeter Measured Value

1.200V 1,200A

Be careful about the fact that the transformer jaws with overheat when continuous measurements are made
of 600 to 1,000A for more than 30 minutes or 1,000 to 1,500A for more than 5 minutes.
