GENERAL
The MULTIGUARD MG030000 and MG030001 enables the serial output of an MG series MULTIGUARD annunciator
to be used to drive remote devices such as LEDs, Overdoor lights, sounders and relays etc.. These are outputted as 6 x
DPCO voltage free relay outputs and up to 10 x npn open collector transistor outputs for LED drives.
A five core connection is required +ve -ve Clock, Data & Strobe. This will enable all 16 outputs. Normally these would
be:-
a. 6 x DPCO relay output which change state on alarm and restore on reset. These are rated at 1A 30vdc
b. 2 x transistor outputs not yet nominated (These are only fitted to special order)
c. 6 x transistor outputs to follow the LEDs of the MULTIGUARD. (These are only available on the MG03001)
c. i. 1 output which follows the MULTIGUARD integral buzzer. (These are only fitted to special order)
ii 1 output which follows the MULTIGUARD integral relay. (These are only fitted to special order)
Different software options in the MULTIGUARD will result in different output states.
The power supplies fitted in a MULTIGUARD will only supply 250ma maximum. This is sufficient to power the
MULTIGUARD panel and a relay card it is not sufficient to power any external equipment. If the MG03000 cards
are separately powered then the negatives of the both the MULTIGUARD and the relay card should be
commoned.
