Connecting the Remote Controller to a Camcorder
Connect the remote controller to a compatible Canon HD camcorder using the supplied
connection cable (
∅ 2.5 mm to ∅ 3.5 mm).
1 Turn the camcorder off.
2 Remote controller: Connect the
∅ 3.5 mm end (straight plug) of the supplied
connection cable to the REMOTE A terminal and pass the cable through the
cable clamps to secure it.
3 Camcorder: Connect the
∅ 2.5 mm end (L-shaped plug) to the camcorder’s
REMOTE terminal.
4 Camcorder: Turn the camcorder on and enable the use of the remote controller.
[w Other Functions] > [REMOTE Term.] > [RC-V100]
• The remote controller will turn on and the CAMERA POWER button will light up in
green.
• Immediately after activating the remote controller, all the controls will be locked.
5 Remote controller: Press the ACTIVE button repeatedly to change the key lock
mode as necessary (A 13).
