If you want to change the configuration of the LDEVs (for example, decreasing the set LDEVs,
creating CVs), you need to delete the setting of Data Integrity Check using RAID Manager first,
and then perform the change.

For host servers:

Do not write data other than Oracle data to the Oracle data check volume (LU). If multiple paths
are set to the same volume (LU), check if those paths are not all set as the target of Oracle data
check.

Do not set the data storage location of the Data or Control file and the Redo log file to the same
volume (LU).

Do not store Oracle data of different block sizes in a volume (LU). Only write data of the same
block size to a volume (LU).

When you change the configuration of logical volume manager to the volume (LU) which is set
as the target of the Oracle data check, you need to delete the settings of the target LUs and
disable the Oracle check function (Data Integrity Check) once. After changing the configuration,
you need to enable Data Integrity Check again and reset the LUs which are the target of the
check.

When you restore the Oracle data which was backed up before Data Integrity Check was
installed on the array, you need to disable Data Integrity Check.

To set the volume (LU) of the array as the target of the Oracle data check, you need to have a
CHIP that supports Data Integrity Check.
