Product Identifier—HP branding of the array

IP Address—IP addresses of the array controllers

If two IP addresses are listed, two controllers are installed in the array. If one IP address is
listed, only one controller is installed in the array OR two controllers are installed, but only one
of the controllers is accessible from the host on which the tool is running.
This field is interactive:

Click the IP address to access the Storage Management Utility (SMU) of that array.

If a

is displayed next to the IP address, the tool cannot fully access the array.

Hover the mouse over the icon to find out more information about the problem.

Click the icon to open a pop-up window and correct the problem. The most common
problem is the need to enter a valid username and password for that array.

Firmware Version—Firmware installed on the array controllers

Two listings indicate that two controllers are installed in the array. The firmware version installed
on controller A is on the first line; the version installed on controller B is on the second line.

Latest Web Updates—Most recent firmware available on the hp.com website

NOTE:

To display all firmware versions available for download, select the Show All Updates

check box, located above the table, near the right-side of the display.

This field is interactive:

Click the firmware listing to view a pop-up window containing information about the
release, such as the upgrade recommendation, prerequisites and release notes. This
information can be printed.

The Catalog tab lists available firmware downloads for MSA arrays.

Use this tab to view or print the firmware catalog or download a firmware component to the system
for user-activated installation at a later time.
