Testing failover

Verify that the source machine is offline and not connected to the network to avoid IP address conflicts and trigger failover
using the

failover

command.

Command

MONITOR CLEAR

Description

Clears all of the failover configuration and monitoring parameters for the specified monitor
machine

Syntax

MONITOR CLEAR [

monitor

]

Options

monitor

—Name of the source machine designated as the monitor

Examples

monitor clear indy

Notes

If you do not specify a monitor, the current source designated as the monitor will be used. If you
have not identified a monitor, you will receive an error message stating that a monitor has not
been selected.

Machine names that contain non-alphanumeric characters must be enclosed in quotation marks.

MONITOR DELETE

Description

Deletes the specified failover monitor and all of its parameters

Syntax

MONITOR DELETE <

Description
