If you have an HP StorageWorks P9000 Tiered Storage Manager license, you can:

Create hierarchical storage tiers based on varying drive performance and capacity characteristics

Use the Mobility tab to optimize data placement and operation for online data migration between
tiers

If you install 'Plug-in for Virtualization Server Provisioning' in an environment that manages virtualization
servers using VMware vCenter Server and VMware vSphere Client, you can use the plug-in to allocate
volumes.

Device Manager enhancements

Display of HBA WWN nicknames.

For the P9500 storage system:

Device Manager supports:
• Virtual IDs used by volumes, host groups, or ports.
• Changing the configuration of volumes, host groups, or ports that have virtual IDs.

When resource groups used for data migration use virtual IDs, both the Device Manager web
client and CLI now support adding and removing volumes from resource groups and assigning or
releasing their virtual IDs.

Device Manager now supports zero page reclaim of THP volumes that have Business Copy con-
figurations.

The Device Manager GUI now supports Firefox ESR 17.0.x for Linux.

The Device Manager server and CLI now support Microsoft Windows Server 2012.

The Device Manager server, GUI, and CLI now support:

Hyper-V 3.0 (virtualization server)
