Volumes configured for XRC. Note that a volume in a suspended status can be a source volume,
but not a target volume.

Volumes configured for concurrent copying.

The migration source volume is configured as a Continuous Access Software pair or Hitachi
TrueCopy for Mainframe pair, and the migration target is an external storage system.

Volumes that are part of a Continuous Access Synchronous pair, Hitachi TrueCopy for Mainframe,
or Continuous Access Journal pair, and the CLPRs (cache logical partitions) of the migration target
and migration-source volumes are different.

Quorum disks used for External Storage Access Manager.

The P-VOL and S-VOL of an External Storage Access Manager pair.

Smart volumes to which a data placement profile is applied.

Conditions of volumes that cannot be used as migration sources

For volumes that cannot be specified as migration sources, the following character strings are displayed
in the Migration Restrictions column of Selected Volumes in the Migration Source page of the Migrate
Data wizard.

the number of generations is 64

The volume is the P-VOL of a Snapshot pair and its status is not PAIR

The volume is the V-VOL of a Snapshot pair

The volume is the POOL of a Snapshot pair

XP Snapshot Status

The volume is a THP/Smart pool volume.

XP Thin Provisioning [Pool Volume]

The volume is a virtual volume and is not associated with a THP/Smart
pool.

XP Thin Provisioning [Unassigned]

The volume is locked by Data Retention Utility (not Read/Write).

Externally Locked

The volume is an intermediate volume.

Intermediate volume

The volume has already been reserved as a migration target.

Migration Reserved

Information for the volume cannot be acquired.

Not Acquired Volume Information

The volume is an on-demand device volume.

On Demand Device

The volume has already been reserved.

Reserved

Only the View role is assigned.
