Arguments

/datadir (-datadir)

Specifies the absolute path of the name of the directory into which the host information is to be
collected. If this argument is omitted, the host information is collected into the current directory.

Return values

0

: Normal termination

1

or greater: Abnormal termination

11-4 Server Address Specified during Installation

During installation of Provisioning Manager, you are prompted to enter the IP address or the host name of the
server to be accessed from a client by using a Web browser. Do not specify localhost for this entry.

If localhost is specified, launching related programs or starting the GUI from other clients is not possible.

If localhost is specified, use the hcmdschgurl command to change the IP address or the host name of the
server to be accessed.

The hcmdschgurl command is stored in the following folder:

Common-Component-installation-folder\bin

Example: C:\Program Files\CVXPAE\Base\bin\hcmdschgurl.bat

11-5 Inconsistency in the Display between the Navigation and
Information Frames

During the GUI operation, if the following inconsistency occurs in the displayed information, you need to
perform the operations that resolve the inconsistency:

An object displayed in the navigation frame is not displayed in the information frame.

An object that is not displayed in the navigation frame is displayed in the information frame.

The operations below synchronize the navigation frame and information frame and resolve the display
inconsistency.

NOTE:

It may take time for the server to start. Before logging on to the server, make sure that the server has

started.

To resolve inconsistency in the frames:

1.

Stop the HiCommandServer service.

2.

Stop Single Sign On Service.

3.

Use a text editor to open the server.properties file in Device-Manager-installation-
folder
\HiCommandServer\config

.

4.

Set the server.base.initialsynchro property to true, and then save the server.properties
file.

5.

Start Single Sign On Service.

6.

Start the HiCommandServer service.

7.

Use a text editor to open the server.properties file.

8.

Set the server.base.initialsynchro property to false, and then save the server.properties
file.

shows a message dialog example. Each message consists of a message ID and a message text in

the following format:

message-ID

: KARFppmmm-z

KARF

: A character string that indicates this is a message that is output by Provisioning Manager.
