1 Introduction
The RMD tool (HP 3PAR Recovery Manager Diagnostics tool) is a web-based application that
identifies discrepancies in the environment running HP 3PAR RMV products. The RMD tool scans
the servers managed by Recovery Manager (both RMV and vCenter servers), gathers RMV
environment information, identifies discrepancies, and provides corrective actions for proper
functioning of the RMV products.
Recovery Manager Diagnostic tool for RMV runs on the RMV server and performs only RMV specific
tests. These tests collect RMV application specific information, vCenter and ESX Host information,
vCenter and RMV log files, troubleshooting recurrent customer issues in RMV, such as, RMV
configuration issues, vCenter and HP 3PAR StoreServ connectivity issues, and so on. RMV refers
to RMV application package including RMV Management Plug-in and VASA Provider.
The RMD tool 1.0 is supported on RMV 2.4.0 and RMV 2.4 Patch 01 releases.
