network

Hardware Installation

This camera is designed for indoor/outdoor use. To install outdoors, it's
always recommended to place it where it's sheltered from extreme
conditions. Exposure to direct sunlight or halogen light may cause
permanent damage to the image sensor in the camera. Damage as a result
of exposure to strong light is not covered by the HooToo warranty.

1.Attach the Adjustable Mount to
the camera by screwing it on.

2. For wall mounting, attach the
Adjustable Mount to wall first,
using 3 appropriate screws.

3. Gently tighten the locking ring 1 using
the screw-driver tool.

4. Adjust the angle of the camera, and
then gently tighten the locking ring 2.

Important!

1. Connect the HT-IP212/HT-IP212F to your

network using a RJ-45 network cable.

2. Connect the power to the camera.

3. The HT-IP212/HT-IP212F is designed for

installation on an Ethernet network. This

involves

assigning an IP address to the

network camera, either automatically

(e.g. DHCP) or manually.

Quick Installation Guide

IP Camera Tool is the recommended method for assigning an IP

address

in Windows®. It automatically discovers and displays HooToo cameras
on your network. IP Camera Tool can also be used to manually assign
a static IP address. Note that the computer running IP Camera Tool must
be on the same network segment (physical subnet) as the network camera.

Automatic discovery

1. Check that the HooToo camera is connected to the network and has
powered up.
2. Start IP Camera Tool. When the HooToo camera name appears in the
window, double-click to open its web page.

Assign the IP address manually (optional)

1. Acquire an unused IP address on the same network segment as your
computer.
2. Right click the selected camera in the list to choose Network
Configuration
, manually enter the IP address to the camera.
3. Click OK, When the camera appears in the window, double-click to open
its web pages.

The IP Camera Tool is available on the CD supplied with this product,
or it can be downloaded from
www.hootoo.com/downloads.

Double-click the IPCamSetup.exe file
and follow the on-screen

instructions

to install the software on your computer.

5. Once configured, your HooToo

is now accessible

within your local network

(LAN)

and you will be seeing the video like

this.

Notes:

If required, click Yes to install Media Control, which allows viewing of the
video stream in Internet Explorer. To install Media Control in Windows
7/Windows Vista, you must run Internet Explorer as an administrator. Right-
click the Internet Explorer icon and select Run as administrator.

Accessing the HooToo

from the INTERNET

HT-IP212/HT-IP212

To be able to access your
/HT-IP212F from the Internet, you
must configure your broadband
router to allow incoming data traffic.
For security reasons this is usually
done on a specific port.

Every is provided with a free DDNS
site, which you can find at the bottom
of it. See below -

Step 1: Change the port number for

, change it to a

different one such as 8010, 8080, 8081, etc (default setting is 80)
Step 2: Port forwarding configuration
Open your router's admin console by typing the standard IP address for
your computer into your web browser's URL box. For most routers, this
will be either 192.168.0.1. or 192.168.1.1.
Enter your username and password.
Go to Port Forwarding or Applications and Gaming tab. Each router will
be slightly different, but look for these two options. If you don't see them,
try Advanced Settings and look for a Port Forwarding subsection.
Enter your desired ports (same as your HT-IP212/HT-IP212F) and the IP
address for HT-IP212/HT-IP212F. (IP address can be found via IP Camera Tool)
Save your setting and restart your router to double check.

Reset to Factory Default Settings

To reset all parameters, including the IP address, reset your HooToo

HT-IP212/HT-IP212F

to the Factory Default Settings:

When the power is connected to the
camera, keep the reset button pressed
for approximately 15s and then release.
Re-run IP Camera Tool and follow
the methods described above in this
document.

Step 3: Once set up, you can now use the provided DDNS site and port
address to visit

(For example, http://f9311.gipcam.com:8081)

Step 5: Wait till

finishes its 30s countdown for a reboot.

Then disconnect the network cable & close your web browser.

Step 6: Re-run IP Camera Tool and follow the methods described above
in this document.

Disconnect the network cable only after the wireless is well setup and HT-IP212/
HT-IP212F finishes its reboot. Try a second time to scan if there isn't any network

hotspot showing up on the list.

Follow these instructions:

1. Connect the to your local network using a standard
(RJ-45) network cable
(See Hardware Installation, on page 2).

2. Connect the power to the camera

(see Hardware Installation, on page 2).

Note:

1.No IP address Found on the list: try a different Ethernet connection to make
sure HT-IP212/HT-IP212F is in the same subnet as the viewing computer.

2.IP address found but shows subnet does not match: right click the selected
camera to go to network configuration, click Obtain IP from DHCP server,
this will automatically reassign IP address and refresh the camera list. S

right-click the small application logo on the taskbar

from Local Network

1.Run the IP Camera Tool and double-click the selected camera to enter

the next step.

2.User name: admin, Password: NO PASSWORD

(leave it blank)

Click OK.

3.Sign in with Recommended Browser: Internet Explorer

4. Run ActiveX control and follow the on-screen instruction to install
(strictly required for IE)

If a window like this shows up:

Go to ToolInternet Options

Click Custom Level to enable ActiveX options as showed below, click
OK to proceed (by doing this, you lower the security level to allow
ActiveX installation), refresh the page and you should be on the page
to view the video now.

Enable automatic prompting for ActiveX controls
Enable download unsigned ActiveX controls

Accessing the HooToo

Wirelessly

To go wirelessly, you must make sure that your

from the wired mode.

Step 2: View the live video either via LAN or WAN (See page 5, 6, 7)

Step 3: Once you start getting video from HT-IP212/HT-IP212F under the

wired mode, go to NetworkWireless LAN Settings, Click Scan to

search your wireless hotspot.

Try to scan a second time if it doesn't show up any on the list.

Once you are able to see live video under the wired mode, you are just
one step away to go wirelessly with the HT-IP212/HT-IP212F.

Step 4: Select your desired network and input the share key, proceed to submit
as shown below:

Click Scan to go to Step 4
