This camcorder automatically sets the shutter speed and aperture according to the subject and brightness for
optimum recording. You can also specify one of various modes depending on subject conditions, recording
environment or purpose of fi lming.

1. Press the MENU button Control joystick (/) “iSCENE.”
2. Select the desired submenu item with the Control joystick (/),
and then press the OK button.

Use this setting for the regular recording conditions. The
shutter speed and the aperture values are automatically
adjusted for optimum recording.

“Portrait”
When recording a portrait image, use this setting to express
the natural skin tone.
“Spotlight”
When recording subjects under strong light. For example, stage
spotlights in theaters.
“Beach”
Where sunlight is intense like a beach.
“Snow”
Where refl ection of light is intense like a snowfi eld.
“High Speed”
Reduces blurring objects in rapid motion.
“Food”
Recording close-up objects in high saturation.
“Waterfall”
Recording a waterfall or fountain.
