• With the digital zoom, the image is digitally processed more than the intelli or optical zoom modes.
As a result, the image resolution may deteriorate.
• The image quality may deteriorate depending on how much you zoom in on the subject.
• Maximum zooming may result in lower image quality.
• The zoom range will change depending on the aspect ratio of the video.
Zoom Type
The memory camcorder offers three types of zoom: optical, intelligent and digital zoom when recording videos.

1. Press the MENU button  Control joystick (/) 
“Zoom Type.”
2. Select the desired submenu item with the Control joystick (/),
and then press the OK button.
3. Press the MENU button to exit the menu.

“Optical Zoom” Only optical zoom is available up to 52x. -
“Intelli-Zoom”
• The camcorder zooms the full width of the
image sensor to obtain a larger zoom range
without any deterioration in image quality.
• Intelli-zoom is available up to 65x.

• When this option is selected, the camcorder
will switch automatically to the digital zoom
when you zoom in beyond the optical or
intelligent zoom range.
• Digital zoom is available up to 2200x.
