Diopter adjustment position

Diopter adjustment adjusts the balance of right
and left eyesight. If more than one viewer uses the
same binoculars, adjustment is necessary when a
different person uses it.

If binoculars are used by one person only,
readjustment of the diopter is unnecessary after it
has been initially adjusted.

1 Push the focusing ring ① in and look into the

left eyecup with the left eye.

Then focus on a distant object by rotating the

focusing ring ① .

2 Pull out the focusing ring ① so that the diopter

adjustment ring ② becomes operable.

3 Look into the right eyecup with the right eye,

then focus with the right eye on the same
target while rotating the diopter adjustment
ring ②

.

4 Check focusing on both eyes <Confirmation of

diopter adjustment>.

5 When in focus, push the focusing ring ①

in to prevent the operation of the diopter
adjustment ring ② .

6 When the subject changes, refocus the new

subject by rotating the focusing ring ① .

・Rotate clockwise to focus on a more distant

subject.

・Rotate counterclockwise to focus on a closer

subject.

7 When focusing is not necessary, set the focusing

ring ① in the diopter adjustment position, so
that it doesn't change the focusing position
even if you accidentally touch it. (Be aware that
diopter adjustment becomes operable.)
