このたびは、 ニッコールレンズをお買い上げいただきありがとうございます。
このレンズは次のような特長があります。
○ニコンのAF［オートフォーカス（F3AF用除く）］ カメラとの組み合わせでは、オートフォーカス撮影ができます。マニュアル（手
動）によるピント合わせも可能です。
○撮影距離情報を取り入れたカメラとの組み合わせでは、距離情報をカメラボディ側に伝達する機能を備えています。
○AF機能が高速で作動し、ピント合わせの時間が短縮されます。焦点距離は中望遠80mmから望遠200mmまでの領域をカ
バーし、最短撮影距離は1.8m、さらにマクロ機構により1.5mまでの近接撮影が可能です。ポートレート撮影や動きの激し
いスポーツ写真、 また三脚座の取り付けによって、暗い所での撮影に威力を発揮するなど、非常に用途の広いレンズです。
○当社独自の最新薄膜技術による新開発の広帯域多層膜コーティングを用い、シャープなコントラストのすっきりした写真が
得られます。
●下記のアクセサリーはCPU信号接点等を損傷しますので、直接このレンズに取り付けないでください。
オート接写リングPK-1、PK-11、K1リング、オートリングBR-4（なお、PK-11リングにはPK-11A、オートリングBR-4の代わり
にはBR-6とBR-2Aを併用してご使用ください。）
上記以外のアクセサリーにつきましても、カメラボディとの組み合わせにより、 ご使用できないことがあります。 アクセサリーの
使用に際しては、必ずご使用の各カメラの使用説明書も併せてご参照ください。
●レンズを三脚および一脚に取り付けてカメラの右側（シャッターボタン側）を下向きにする縦位置変換を行う際、カメラと三
脚および一脚の組み合わせによっては、指が雲台に当たる場合があるため、後方より見て、時計回り方向には回転しないよ
うになっております。 カメラの右側を下向きにする縦位置変換を行う際は、反時計回り方向に回転させてください。
●DX-1ファインダー（ニコンF3AF用） と組み合わせてのご使用はできません。
ピント合わせ／ズーミング
このレンズはA-M切換え方式となっております。ニコンAF（オートフォーカス） カメラとの組み合せでオートフォーカス撮影を
行う場合は、A-M切換え解除ボタンを押しながらA-M切換えリングを回転させ、Aの位置にセットしてからご使用ください。ま
た、マニュアルでピント合わせを行う場合はA-M切換え解除ボタンを押しながらA-M切換えリングをMの位置にセットしてファ
インダー内のスクリーン上の像が鮮明になるまで距離リングを回します。
ズーミングは、構図が決まるまでズーミングリングを回転させて行います。 また、 どの焦点距離でもピント合わせは行えます
が、長焦点になるほど像が大きく、被写界深度も浅くなるので合わせやすくなります。
マクロ撮影（近接撮影）について
このレンズの撮影距離は、通常撮影で無限遠（∞）から1.8mまでとなっています。 さらに近接撮影（マクロ撮影）を行う場合に
は、1.8mを超えて距離リングを回転させることができます。 このとき、最短撮影距離は約1.5mとなりマクロ領域を示すオレン
ジ色のラインが現われます。また、全焦点距離（80mm∼200mm）においてマクロ撮影を行うことができ、焦点距離200mm
で最大撮影倍率約1：5.9、焦点距離80mmで撮影倍率約1：14が得られます。また、文献複写等の精密な複写にはマイクロ
ニッコールレンズのご使用をおすすめします。
EDレンズについて

常にレンズ性能の向上を目指して努力を続けてきたニコンが、独自に研究・開発した新種硝子（ED硝子）を使用し、高性能な
望遠レンズとして完成させたのが、ニッコールEDレンズです。ED硝子とは、Extra-ｌow Dispersion（特殊低分散）硝子の略
称で、低屈折率、低分散でしかも異常部分分散性を持った光学硝子のことです。
最小絞りロックレバー（イラスト図A参照）
プログラム撮影時や、 シャッター優先時は、絞りリングを最小絞り目盛で固定することができます。ロック方法は絞りリングを
回転させ、最小目盛の（22）を絞り指標（白色）に合わせます。最小絞りロックレバーを絞りリングの方向にスライド（レバーの白
色の指標と鏡筒上のオレンジ色の線を合わせる） させることによりロックすることができます。ロックの解除はロックしたときと
反対方向にロックレバーをスライドさせてください。

ニコンF6、F5、F4、F3シリーズカメラボディには多種類のファインダースクリーンがあり、 レンズのタイプや撮影条件に合わ
せて最適なものを選ぶことができます。 このレンズに適したファインダースクリーンは裏の表のとおりです。 （なお、 ご使用に際し
ては必ず各カメラボディの使用説明書を併せてご参照ください。 ）
●レンズの清掃は、ホコリを拭う程度にしてください。万一指紋や汗がついたときは、柔らかい清潔な木綿の布に市販のレンズ
クリーナを少量湿らせ、中心から外側へ渦巻状に、拭きムラ、拭き残りのないように注意しながら軽く拭きます。
●レンズ表面の汚れや傷を防ぐために、NCフィルターの使用をおすすめします。 レンズの保護には、 フードも役立ちます。
●レンズをご使用にならないときは、傷や汚れ防止のためレンズの前後に必ず付属のキャップをしておいてください。
●レンズを水に濡らした場合は、当社サービス機関に点検修理を依頼してください。部品がサビついたりして故障の原因となり
ますのでご注意ください。
●長期間レンズをお使いにならないときや保管の際は、 カビまたはサビを防ぐため、高温多湿の所や直射日光のあたる所、 また
ナフタリンや樟脳のある所は避けて、風通しのよい場所に保管してください。
●このレンズは、外観の一部に強化プラスチックを使用しておりますが、極端に温度が高くなると変形する場合があります。 ス
トーブの前等、高熱となる場所に置くことは避けてください。

撮影距離が一定の範囲内に限られている場合は、 この切換えスイッチをFullからLimitへ切換えることにより、ピント合わせ
の時間を短縮することができます。 （制限範囲の切換えは3∼2.5m〈10∼8ft〉近辺を目度に至近側と∞側に分けられます。）

CAUTION
Do not disassemble
Touching the internal parts of the camera or lens could result in injury. Repairs should be performed only by
qualified technicians. Should the camera or lens break open as the result of a fall or other accident, take the
product to a Nikon-authorized service representative for inspection after unplugging the product and/or
removing the battery.
Turn off immediately in the event of malfunction
Should you notice smoke or an unusual smell coming from the camera or lens, remove the battery immedi-
ately, taking care to avoid burns. Continued operation could result in injury.
After removing or disconnecting the power source, take the product to a Nikon-authorized service represen-
tative for inspection.
Do not use the camera or lens in the presence of flammable gas
Operating electronic equipment in the presence of flammable gas could result in an explosion or fire.
Do not look at the sun through the lens or viewfinder
Viewing the sun or other strong light sources through the lens or viewfinder could cause permanent visual impair-
ment.
Keep out of reach of children
Particular care should be taken to prevent infants from putting the batteries or other small parts into their
mouths.
Observe the following precautions when handling the camera and lens

Keep the camera and lens unit dry. Failure to do so could result in fire or electric shock.

Do not handle or touch the camera or lens unit with wet hands. Failure to do so could result in electric
shock.

When shooting with back-lighting, do not point the lens at the sun or allow sunlight to pass directly down
the lens as this may cause the camera to overheat and possibly cause a fire.
t
When the lens will not be used for an extended period of time, attach both front and rear lens caps and
store the lens away from direct sunlight. Failure to do so could result in a fire, as the lens may focus sunlight
onto a flammable object.
Important!
Focusing/Zooming
Be careful not to soil or damage the CPU contacts.
Do not attach the following accessories to the lens, as they might damage the lens CPU contacts: Auto
Extension Ring PK-1, PK-11 (use PK-11A), K1 Ring and Auto Ring BR-4 (use BR-6 and BR-2A).
Other accessories may not be suitable for use with certain camera bodies. For details, carefully read the
camera instruction manual.
For certain combinations of camera and lens tripod (or single pole), when rotating the lens to the vertical
position with the right-hand side of the camera (the side with the shutter-release button) facing downward,
the fingers can inadvertently come into contact with the tripod head. The tripod mounting collar prevents this
by rotating only in an anti-clockwise direction. Do not attempt to rotate the mounting collar clockwise.
This lens cannot be used with the AF Finder DX-1 attached to the Nikon F3AF camera.
Thank you for purchasing the AF Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8D lens. This lens can be used for both
auto and manual focus when mounted to Nikon AF (Auto Focus) cameras (except for the F3AF). It is also
compatible with camera bodies equipped with the object-distance-information analysis function. This lens
is especially suitable for portraiture and sports events, and also for nighttime photography when mounted
with a tripod collar. The lens is coated with Nikon Integrated Coating (NIC), a wideband, multilayer antire-
flection coating, to minimize flare and ghosting and to improve image contrast.
This lens can be used for both auto and manual focus. To determine the appropriate focus mode, refer to the
chart below.
To select autofocus, push the A-M button and rotate the A-M ring until it clicks into position at A. When the
ring locks, lens is set for autofocus function.
To select manual, push the A-M button and rotate the A-M ring until it clicks at M. When the ring locks, lens
is set for manual focus; rotate the focus ring until the viewfinder image appears sharp and crisp.
The effective focal length may vary in extreme heat or cold. To compensate for this, the focus ring is designed
to turn slightly beyond the ∞ (infinity) position.

In cases when you want to shoot within a specified distance range, you can reduce focusing time by setting
the focusing limit switch from FULL position to LIMIT. (There are two focusing limit zones; approx. 3m [10ft] to
infinity [∞] for normal shooting, approx. 3m [10ft] to M for macro shooting.)
Macro focusing
Infrared compensation index
Normal focusing lets you focus from infinity to 1.8m (approx. 5.9ft), but for macro focusing down to 1.5m
(approx. 4.9ft) at any focal length setting, simply continue turning the ring. The orange “M” and line inside the
distance scale window indicate macro mode focusing.
At the closest macro focus distance, the reproduction ratio is 1:5.9 at the 200mm focal length setting; 1:14 at
80mm.
Minimum aperture lock lever (See illust. A.)
For programmed auto or shutter-priority auto shooting, use the minimum aperture lock lever to lock the lens
aperture at f/22.
1. Set the lens to its minimum aperture (f/22).
2. Slide the lock lever in the direction of the aperture ring so that white dot on the tab aligns with the orange
dot.
To release the lock, slide the lever in the reverse direction.
Recommended focusing screens
(See the reverse.)
Various interchangeable focusing screens are available for Nikon F6, F5, F4-and F3-series cameras to suit any
type of lens or picture-taking situation. Those which are recommended for use with this lens are listed in the
table (see the reverse). For details, also refer to the specific camera’s instruction manual.
Lens care
Specifications
Clean lens surface with a blower brush. To remove dirt and smudges, use a soft, clean cotton cloth or lens
tissue moistened with lens cleaner (separately available). Wipe in a circular motion from center to outer edge,
taking care not to leave traces and not to touch the other lens parts.
To protect the lens surface from dirt or damage, the use of an NC filter is recommended at all times. The lens
hood also helps to protect the lens.
To protect the lens surface from dirt or damage, replace both the front and rear caps whenever the lens is not
in use.
Do not splash water on the lens or drop it in the water because this will cause it to rust and malfunction.
If you will not use the lens for a long time, protect it from rust and mold by storing it in a cool, dry place. Also,
do not store in direct sunlight, and keep it away from naphthalene or camphor.
Reinforced plastic is used for some parts of the lens exterior; to avoid damage, never leave the lens in an
excessively hot place.

To zoom in or out, rotate the zoom ring until the desired composition is framed in the viewfinder. For pinpoint
focusing, focus with lens in the 200mm zoom position, then zoom out to your desired focal length.
* For autofocus shooting with the F-501/N2020 * *, be sure the A-M ring is set to A; setting to M may cause camera malfunction.

Vor einem längeren Nichtgebrauch des Objektivs bringen Sie den vorderen und hinteren Deckel an und
bewahren das Objektiv geschützt vor direkter Sonnenlichteinwirkung auf. Andernfalls droht Brandgefahr

Au cas où l’on désire effectuer une prise de vue dans la gamme de distances spécifiées, il est possible de
réduire le temps de mise au point en réglant l’ interrupteur de fin de course de mise au point de la position FULL
à celle LIMIT. (Il y a deux zones de limite de mise au point : environ 3 mètres--∞ pour prise de vue normale,
environ 3 mètres--M pour prise de vue macro.)

La mise au point normale vous permet de faire le point depuis l’infini jusqu’à 1,8m, mais pour la mise au point
macro rapprochée jusqu’à 1,5m à tous les réglages de distances focales, continuez à tourner simplement la
bague. Le“M”et la ligne orange à l’intérieur de la fenêtre d’échelle des distances indiquent la mise au point en
mode macro.
A la distance de mise au point macro la plus proche, le rapport de reproduction est de 1:5,9 au réglage de
distance focale de 200mm; 1:14 à 80mm.
Profondeur de champ
A la différence de la plupart des objectifs Nikkor, le AF Zoom-Nikkor ED 80-200mm f/2,8D IF ne possède pas
de repères de profondeur de champ gravé sur le tube de l’objectif.
Divers verres de visée interchangeable sont disponibles pour les appareils Nikon des séries F6, F5,F4 et F3
pour convenir à tout type de situation d’objectif ou de prise de vue. Ceux qui sont recommandés pour
l’utilisation avec cet objectif sont inscrits dans la liste du tableau (voir le verso). Pour plus de détails, se référer
aussi au mode d’emploi de l’appareil spécifique.
Levier de verrouillage d’ouverture minimum

Pour les prises de vue automatiques, programmées ou à priorité d’obturateur automatique, utiliser le levier de
verrouillage d’ouverture minimale pour verrouiller l’ouverture de l’objectif à f/22.
1. Régler l’objectif sur son ouverture minimale (f/22).
2. Coulisser le levier de verrouillage dans la direction de la bague d’ouverture pour que le point blanc sur la
languette s’aligne avec le point orange.
Pour relâcher le verrouillage, coulisser le levier dans la direction inverse.

Caractéristiques
Nettoyer la surface de la lentille avec une brosse soufflante. Pour éliminer la saleté et les taches, utiliser
un chiffon en coton doux et propre ou un tissu pour lentille imbibé de produit de nettoyage pour lentilles
(en vente séparée). Essuyer dans un mouvement circulaire du centre vers l’extérieur, en prenant soin de
ne pas laisser de traces et de ne pas toucher les autres parties de l’objectif.
Laisser un filtre NC monté en permanence constitue une bonne protection de la lentille avant contre la
poussière et les chocs. Le bouchon avant est également une protection efficace de la lentille avant.
Pour protéger la surface de l’objectif contre la saleté et les dommages, rebouchez l’avant et l’arrière de
votre objectif lorsque vous ne vous servez pas de votre appareil.
Ne pas éclabousser d’eau sur l’objectif ni le faire tomber dans l’eau car ceci provoquerait de la rouille et
un mauvais fonctionnement.
Si vous n’utilisez pas l’objectif pendant une longue période de temps, protégez-le contre la rouille et
l’humidité en le rangeant dans un endroit sec et frais. Egalement ne le rangez pas en plein soleil et
tenez-le éloigné de la naphtaline ou du camphre.
Certaines pièces extérieures de l’objectif sont en plastique renforcé; pour éviter toute détérioration, ne
pas ranger l’objectif dans un endroit excessivement chaud.

Pour zoomer tourner le commutateur de mize au point jusqu’à ce que la composition désirée soit cadrée dans
le viseur. Pour une mise au point localisée, mettre au point avec l’objectif sur la position zoom 200mm, puis

Schieber dem ornagefarbenen auf dem Objektivgehäuse gegenübersteht.
Drücken Sie den Schieber in die entgegengesetzte Richtung, um Ihn wieder zu entriegeln.

Für Nikon Kameras der Serien F6,F5,F4 und F3 stehen verschiedene auswechselbare Einstellschreiben zur
Verfügung, um jedem Objektiv und jeder Aufnahmesituation gerecht zu werden. Die für dieses Objektiv
empfohlenen werden in der Tabelle aufgeführt (siehe Rückseite). Für weitere Einzelheiten siehe auch Bedien-
ungsanleitung der Kamera.
Objektivpflege
Technishce Daten
Reinigen Sie die Linsenoberfläche zunächst mit einem Blasepinsel. Benutzen Sie zur weitergehenden
Reinigung ein mit Linsenreinigungsmittel (gesondert erhältlich) befeuchtetes weiches und sauberes Baum-
wolltuch. Wischen Sie dabei in einer größer werdenden Kreisbewegung von innen nach außen, und achten
Sie dabei darauf, daß Sie keine Spuren hinterlassen oder andere Teile des Objektivs berühren.
Die Frontlinse des Objektivs sollte grundsätzlich durch ein Filter NC vor Staub und Beschädigung geschützt
werden. Auch die Gegenlichtblende bewährt sich als Frontlinsenschutz.
Um die Linsenoberfläche vor Schmutz oder Beschädigung zu bewahren, stets die vordere und hintere
Schutzkappe vorn und hinten aufsetzen, wenn das Objektiv nicht benutzt wird.
Schützen Sie das Objektiv unbedingt vor Wasser, das zu Korrosion und Betriebsstörungen führt.
Wenn Sie das Objektiv längere Zeit unbenutzt lassen, bewahren Sie es an einem kühlen, Trockenen Ort auf,
um Rost und Schimmelbefall zu vermeiden. Schützen Sie das Objektiv vor direkter Sonneneinstrahlung und
vermeiden Sie die Nähe von Naphtalin und Kampfer.
Bestimmte äußere Bauteile des Objektivs sind aus verstärktem Kunststoff gefertigt. Um Schäden zu vermei-
den, darf das Objektiv niemals Plätzen mit extrem hoher Wärme ausgesetzt werden.

Einstellung von Entfernung und Brennweite
Achten Sie Bitte sorgfältig darauf, die CPU-Kontakte nicht zu beschmutzen oder zu beschädigen.
Folgendes Zubehör nicht am Objektiv ansetzen, weil andernfalls die CPU-Kontakte beschädigt werden
können: Automatik-Zwischenring PK-1,PK.11 (verwenden Sie PK-11A), Ring K1 und Automatik-Ring
BR-4 (verwenden Sie BR-6 und BR-2A).
Anderes Zubehör ist möglicherweise für bestimmte Kameras nicht geeignet. Lesen Sie sorgfältig die
Anleitungen zu Ihrer Kamera.
Bei bestimmten Kombinationen von Kamera und Objektivstativ (oder Einzelstabstativ) können die Finger
unabsichtlich mit dem Stativkopf in Berührung kommen, wenn das Objektiv in eine vertikale Position
gedreht wird, wobei die rechte Seite der Kamera (die Seite mit dem Auslöser) nach unten zeigt. Der
Stativring verhindert dies, indem er sich ausschließlich entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn drehen läß.
Versuchen Sie bitte nicht, den Ring im Uhrzeigersinn zu drehen.
Dieses Objektiv kann nicht zusammen mit dem AF-Sucher DX-1 auf der F3AF verwendet werden.
vielen Dank für Ihren Ankauf eines AF Zoom-Nikkor ED SO-200mm f/2,8 Objektives. Dieses Objektiv kann
sowohl für manuelle als auch automatische Scharfeinstellung verwendet werden, wenn es auf Nikon AF
(Auto Fokus) Kameras (außer F34F) montiert wird. Es paßt auch für Kameras mit einer Gegenstandsweite
Analysefunktion. Das Objektiv eignet sich besonders für Porträts und Sportaufnahmen, sowie auch für
Nachtaufnahmen, wenn es auf ein Stativ ausgesetzt ist. Die Linsen sind mit der Nikon integrierten
Beschichtung (Nikon Integrated Coating = NIC) beschichtet, eine vielschichtinge Breitband Antireflek-
tionsbeschichtung, um Reflexionen zu minimieren und den Bildkontrast zu verbessern.
Mit diesem Objektiv ist sowohl Autofokusbetrieb als auch manuelle Scharfeinstellung möglich. Die jeweils
möglichen Fokussiermodi entnehmen Sie bitte der unten stehenden Tabelle.
Für Autofokusbetrieb den A-M-knopf drücken und den A-M-Ring drehen, bis er in Stellung A einrastet.
Nach erfolgtem Einrasten ist automatische Scharfeinstellung möglich.
Zur manuellen Scharfeinstellung den A-M-Knopf drücken und den A-M-Ring drehen, bis er in Stellung
M einrastet. Nach erfolgtem Einrasten ist manuelle Scharfeinstellung möglich. Hierzu den Einstellring drehen,
bis der Aufnahmegegenstand im Sucher scharf und deutlich erscheint.
Die effective Brennweite kann sich bei extremer Wärme oder Kälte geringfügig verändern. Um dies zu kompen-
sieren, läßt sich der Einstellring etwa über die Stellung ∞(unendlich) hinaus drehen.

D’autres accessoires peuvent ne pas convenir à certains boîtiers. Pour les détails, lire attentivement le manuel
d’utilisation de l’appareil.
Dans certaines combinaisons d’appareiltet de pied d’objectif (ou monopode), en orientant l’objectif verticale-
ment avec le côté droit de l’appareil (côté portant le déclencheur) dirigé vers le bas, les doigts peuvent par
inadvertance toucher la tête du pied. Le collier de montage sur pied permet d’éviter cela en le tournant
seulement dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre. Ne pas essayer de le tourner dans le sens
horaire.
Cet objectif ne peut pas être utilisé avec le viseur AF DX-1 fixé sur l’appareil Nikon F3AF.
Nous vous remercions d’avoir acheté cet objectif AF Zoom‐Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8D. Monté sur un appareil
Nikon AF (Auto Focus) (sauf le F3AF), il peut s’utiliser aussi bien en mise au point automatique que manu-
elle. Il est également compatible avec des boîtiers à information de distance à l’objet. Cet objectif convient
tout particulièrement pour les portraits et les événements sportifs, et également pour la photographie de
nuit quand il est monté avec un collier de pied. L’objectif est recouvert du revêtement intégré Nikon (NIC),
un revêtement multicouche antiréflexion à bande large, pour réduire la diffusion et les images fantômes et
améliorer le contraste de l’image.
Cet objectif peut être utilisé pour la mise au point automatique et pour la mise au point manuelle. Pour
déterminer le mode de mise au point approprié, se reporter au tableau ci–dessous.
Choix de la mise au point automatique, pousser le commutateur A-M, et tourner la bague A-M jusqu’à ce
qu’elle s’encliquète sur la position A. Lorsque la bague est verrouillée, la fonction de mise au point automatique
est opératoire.

distance focale effective peut varier sous l’effet d’une forte chaleur ou d’un très grand froid. Pour compenser
cet effet, la bague de mise au point est conçue de façon à pouvoir tourner légèrement au-delà de la position ∞
(infini).

drehen. Ein orangefarbense“M” und die gleichfarbige Linie im Innern des Entfernungsskalenfensters zeigen an,
daß sich das Objektiv in Makrostellung befindet. An der kürzensten Makro-Aufnahmeentfernung bei 200mm
Brenweite beträgt das Abbildungsverhältnis 1:5,9; bei 80mm Brennweite ist es1:14.
