■ 撮影前の準備
ワイドコンバータアタッチメントをカメラに装着し
て撮影を行う場合、必ずカメラの撮影メニュー項目
の「コンバータ」を「ワイドコンバータ」に設定し
てください。ワイドコンバータアタッチメントの特
性を活かした撮影が自動的に行えます。詳しくはデ
ジタルカメラの使用説明書をご覧ください。
■ 取り付け方
ワイドコンバータアタッチメントを取り付ける前に：
・ カメラの電源が OFF（オフ）になっていることを確認してください。
・ カメラのレンズキャップを取り外してください。
・ カメラに COOLPIX 用フィルターやレンズフードを装着している場合は、必ず取
り外してください。
1 ワイドコンバータアタッチメントのリアキャップを取り外し（図 1）、カメラの
レンズ前面にワイドコンバータアタッチメントを取り付けます（図 2）。
注意： ワイドコンバータアタッチメントを持ち上げるときは、ワイドコンバー
タアタッチメント本体をしっかりとつかんでください。フロントキャッ
プ部のみをつかんで持ち上げると、ワイドコンバータアタッチメントが
落ちて破損するおそれがあります。

撮影時のご注意
・ 「ワイドコンバータ」に設定すると、レンズが自動的に最も広角側にセットされ、
マクロモードになります（通常 AF や遠景モードには設定できません）。
・ 光学ズームは広角側からミドルポジションで使用可能です。電子ズームは使用
できません。
・ コンバータ倍率（0.8 倍）は、最も広角側とミドルポジションでは変化します。
ワイドコンバータアタッチメントを装着すると、約 28mm ∼ 85mm（35mm
判換算時）相当の焦点距離となります。
・ 手ブレの影響を軽減するために、手ブレ補正（VR）スイッチを ON にすることを
おすすめします。手ブレ補正（VR）スイッチを ON にすると、ワイドコンバータアタッ
チメントでの撮影に最適な手ブレ補正を行います。ただし、「コンバータ」を「ワ
イドコンバータ」に設定しないと、手ブレ補正（VR）機能が正しく動作しません。
・ 「ワイドコンバータ」に設定すると、内蔵スピードライトは発光禁止になりま
すが、別売の外付けスピードライトを使用することにより、スピードライト撮
影が可能になります。
■ご注意
・ このワイドコンバータアタッチメントは、ニコンデジタルカメラ COOLPIX8800
専用です。その他のカメラではご使用になれません。
・ カメラの電源を OFF にすると、繰り出したレンズが収納されます。その際、ワイド
コンバータアタッチメントとボディの間に指をはさまないようご注意ください。
・ ワイドコンバータアタッチメントをカメラに装着した状態で、ワイドコンバータ
アタッチメントだけを持たないでください。カメラ破損の原因となります。また、
持ち運ぶときはワイドコンバータアタッチメントを取り外してください。
・ 逆光・半逆光（被写体の斜め後ろからの光）時など画面周辺に太陽などの明るい
光源がある場合には、ゴースト像を生じることがありますのでご注意ください。
・ ワイドコンバータアタッチメントの性質上、画面周辺部に歪みを生じることがあ
りますのでご注意ください。
・ ワイドコンバータアタッチメント使用時は、オートフォーカス（マクロモード）
での撮影をおすすめします。マニュアルフォーカスの設定と実際のピント位置は
異なりますのでご注意ください。
・ 撮影された画像に記録される焦点距離は、コンバータを装着しない焦点距離となります。
・ ワイドコンバータアタッチメントをご使用にならないときは、必ずワイドコン
バータアタッチメント前後のキャップを装着してください。なお、気温の低い場
所では、フロントキャップが外しにくい場合があります。
・ レンズにキズをつけないようにご注意ください。
・ レンズの清掃は、ブロアーなどでほこりを払う程度にしてください。指紋などの
汚れが付着したときは、すみやかに柔らかい清潔な木綿のふきんに無水アルコー
ル（エタノール）を少量湿らせ、中心から外側に渦巻状に、拭きむら、拭き残し
のないように注意して拭いてください。
・ レンズに付着した汚れ・ゴミは、撮影条件により画像に写り込む場合があります
のでご注意ください。

Thank you for your purchase of a WM-E80 wide-angle converter attachment for
use with the Nikon COOLPIX 8800. The WM-E80 reduces the focal length of the
camera lens by × 0.8 (widest angle) for improved wide-angle performance.
Attaching the WM-E80
Before attaching the WM-E80:
• Turn the camera off
• Remove the camera lens cap
• Remove any COOLPIX fi lters or lens hoods from the camera lens
Notes
When Wide adapter is selected, the camera automatically zooms out to the wid-
est angle and macro close-up mode is activated (other focus modes can not be se-
lected). Zoom can be adjusted manually between maximum angle and the middle
zoom position, giving a focal length of 28–85 mm (35-mm equivalent) when the
WM-E80 is attached. Digital zoom is not available. The built-in Speedlight turns
off automatically, but optional Speedlights can still be used.
The effects of camera shake can be reduced by turning vibration reduction (VR)
on. If Wide adapter is selected for Lens, vibration reduction will be optimized
for the WM-E80. Vibration reduction will not produce the desired results if Wide
adapter is not selected.
Cautions
• This converter attachment is intended for use exclusively with the Nikon
COOLPIX 8800. It can not be used with other cameras.
• The lens will retract when the camera is turned off. Be careful that your fi ngers
are not pinched between the WM-E80 and the camera body when the lens
retracts.
• Do not hold the cam era by the converter attachment alone, as this may damage
the equipment. Detach the WM-E80 before transporting the cam era.
• “Ghosting” may occur when the subject is back-lit or a very bright light source,
such as the sun, is entering the frame at an angle from behind the subject.
• Some distortion may occur at the periphery of pictures taken with the WM-E80.
This is normal.
• Use autofocus (macro close-up) when shooting with a converter attachment.
The camera may not be able to focus when focus is set to infi nity; in manual
focus mode, the manual focus display will not refl ect the true focus distance.
• The camera photo information lists only the focal length of the camera lens, not
the combined focal length.
• Replace the front and rear lens caps when the converter lens is not in use. Note
that it is sometimes diffi cult to remove the front cap at low temperatures.
• The front of the lens protrudes slightly; be careful not damage it.
• When cleaning the lens, remove dust with a blower. To remove fi n ger prints
or other stains, wipe the lens gently with a soft, clean, cotton cloth damp ened
lightly with pure ethanol. Move the cloth in an even spiral from the center out-
ward, being sure to clean all parts of the lens and to not leave any streaks. Note
that any foreign matter on the lens may appear in photographs.

A soft case and protective caps (front and rear) are supplied as standard accessories
with this converter attachment. Please make sure that they are included.

Attention: When handling the WM-E80, hold it by the body, not the front cap.
Were the cap to come loose the WM-E80 could drop, damaging to
the converter attachment.
2. Remove the front cap from the converter lens (Figure 3).
Taking Photographs with the WM-E80
Before taking photographs with the WM-E80, set the
Lens option in the shooting menu to Wide adapter.
Camera settings will automatically be adjusted to make
best use of the converter attachment. See the Guide to

Attention: Do not attempt to attach the WM-E80 over a COOLPIX fi lter. Failure to
observe this precaution could damage the fi lter.
1. Remove the cover from the back of the converter attachment (Figure 1) and
screw the WM-E80 into the threads in front of the camera lens (Figure 2).

ra COOLPIX 8800. Der Weitwinkelvorsatz WM-E80 verkürzt die Brennweite des
eingebauten Objektivs um den Faktor 0,8 und vergrößert damit zusätzlich zur
maximalen Weitwinkelstellung des Objektivs den Bildwinkel.
Montage des WM-E80
Treffen Sie folgende Vorbereitungen, bevor Sie den Weitwinkelvorsatz an der
Kamera befestigen:
• Schalten Sie die Kamera aus.
• Nehmen Sie den Objektivdeckel vom Objektiv ab.
• Entfernen Sie eventuell am Objektiv befestigte COOLPIX-Filter oder Gegenlicht-
blenden.
Achtung: Halten Sie den Weitwinkelvorsatz WM-E80 stets am Tubus und
niemals am vorderen Vorsatzdeckel allein fest. Ansonsten kann der
Weitwinkeladapter, wenn der vordere Vorsatzdeckel locker sitzt, he-
runterfallen und beschädigt werden.
2. Nehmen Sie den vorderen Vorsatzdeckel vom Weitwinkelkonverter ab (Abbil-
dung 3).
Fotografi eren mit dem WM-E80
Bevor Sie Bilder mit dem Weitwinkelvorsatz aufnehmen,
navigieren Sie im Aufnahmemenü der Kamera zum Menü
»Objektivvorsatz« und wählen die Option »Weitwin-
kelvors.«. Die Kamera aktiviert daraufhin alle erforderli-
chen und optimalen Einstellungen für das Fotografi eren
mit Weitwinkelvorsatz. Ausführlichere Informationen zu
dieser Menüoption fi nden Sie im Handbuch zur Digitalfo-
tografi e, das mit Ihrer Digitalkamera geliefert wurde.
Bitte beachten Sie:
Wenn im Menü »Objektivvorsatz« die Option »Weitwinkelvors.« gewählt
wird, zoomt die Kamera das Objektiv automatisch in die maximale Weitwinkelstel-
lung und aktiviert die Makrofunktion. (Andere Fokuseinstellungen können nicht
gewählt werden.) Bei montiertem Weitwinkelvorsatz kann das Zoomobjektiv ma-
nuell zwischen der maximalen Weitwinkelposition und der mittleren Zoomposition
eingestellt werden. Dies entspricht einem Zoombereich von 28 – 85 mm (bezogen
auf Kleinbild). Das Digitalzoom kann nicht aktiviert werden. Das integrierte Blitz-
gerät wird automatisch deaktiviert, externe Blitzgeräte können jedoch genutzt
werden.
Durch Aktivierung des Bildstabilisators (VR) kann die Wahrscheinlichkeit für Ver-
wacklungsunschärfe verringert werden. Wenn im Menü »Objektivvorsatz« die
Option »Weitwinkelvors.« gewählt wird, berücksichtigt der Bildstabilisator die
kombinierte Brennweite von Objektiv und Weitwinkelvorsatz. Wenn die Option
»Weitwinkelvors.« nicht gewählt ist, erzielt der Bildstabilisator nicht die ge-
wünschten Ergebnisse.
Wichtige Hinweise
• Der Weitwinkelvorsatz WM-E80 ist nur für die Verwendung mit der Nikon-Di-
gitalkamera COOLPIX 8800 vorgesehen. Er kann nicht mit anderen Kameras
genutzt werden.
• Wenn die Kamera ausgeschaltet wird, fährt das Objektiv in die Transportposition
zurück. Achten Sie beim Zurückfahren des Objektivs darauf, dass Sie nicht ihre
Finger zwischen dem WM-E80 und dem Kameragehäuse einklemmen.
• Halten Sie die Kamera stets am Body und niemals am Objektivvorsatz allein fest.
Andernfalls können Kamera und Objektivvorsatz beschädigt werden. Vor dem
Transport der Kamera sollten Sie den Objektivvorsatz vom Objektiv abnehmen.
• Bei Gegenlichtaufnahmen oder wenn sich eine sehr helle Lichtquelle wie die
Sonne innerhalb oder nur knapp außerhalb des Bildfeldes befi ndet, zeigt die
Aufnahme möglicherweise unerwünschte Lichteffekte (Ghosting).
• Aufnahmen mit dem WM-E80 können an den Bildrändern Verzeichnungen
aufweisen. Dabei handelt es sich um ein normales Phänomen von Weitwinkel-
vorsätzen.
• Verwenden Sie den Autofokus (Makroeinstellung), wenn Sie mit dem Weitwin-
kelvorsatz fotografi eren. Unter Umständen kann die Kamera bei der Entfer-
nungseinstellung »Unendlich« nicht scharf stellen. Bei manueller Scharfeinstel-
lung zeigt die Entfernungsanzeige nicht die korrekte Entfernung an.
• In den Bildinformationen wird lediglich die Brennweite des Kameraobjektivs auf-
geführt, nicht die kombinierte Brennweite von Objektiv und Weitwinkelvorsatz.
• Setzen Sie immer den vorderen und hinteren Deckel auf, wenn Sie den Objektiv-
vorsatz vom Objektiv abnehmen und nicht mehr benutzen. Bitte beachten Sie,
dass sich der vordere Objektivdeckel bei niedrigen Temperaturen etwas schwer-
gängiger auf den Objektivvorsatz aufsetzen bzw. von ihm abziehen lässt.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Linsen des Objektivvorsatzes nicht verkratzen. Ins-
besondere die Frontlinse, die über die Fassung hinausragt, ist besonders gefähr-
det.
• Entfernen Sie Staub auf dem Weitwinkelvorsatz mit einem Blasebalg und Finger-
abdrücke und andere Ablagerungen mit einem sauberen und weichen Tuch. Falls
nötig, können Sie das Tuch vorher mit etwas Ethanol (Ethylalkohol) anfeuchten.
Wischen Sie vorsichtig in kreisenden Bewegungen von der Linsenmitte nach
außen, sodass die gesamte Linsenoberfl äche gereinigt wird. Beachten Sie, dass
Ablagerungen auf dem Weitwinkelvorsatz sich störend in Ihren Aufnahmen be-
merkbar machen können.
Zubehör
Der Weitwinkelvorsatz WM-E80 wird standardmäßig mit Weichtasche und zwei
Deckeln (vorderer und hinterer Vorsatzdeckel) geliefert. Bitte vergewissern Sie sich,
dass dieses Standardzubehör in der Packung enthalten ist.

Achtung: Versuchen Sie nicht, den Weitwinkelvorsatz an einen COOLPIX-Filter zu
montieren, da sonst der Filter beschädigt werden kann.
1. Entfernen Sie den hinteren Vorsatzdeckel vom Weitwinkelvorsatz (Abbildung 1)
und schrauben Sie anschließend den Weitwinkelvorsatz WM-E80 in das Gewin-
de am Kameraobjektiv ein (Abbildung 2).

Fixation du WM-E80
Avant de fi xer le WM-E80 :
• Eteignez l’appareil photo
• Retirez le bouchon d’objectif de l’appareil
• Retirez tous les fi ltres COOLPIX ou parasoleils d’objectif éventuellement fi xés sur
l’objectif de l’appareil
Remarques
Lorsque Grand-angle est sélectionné, l’appareil photo se règle automatiquement
en position grand-angle maximale et le mode gros plan macro s’active (il est im-
possible de sélectionner d’autres modes de mise au point). Il est possible d’ajuster
le zoom manuellement entre sa position grand-angle maximale et sa position mé-
diane, ce qui permet d’obtenir la plage de focales 28 – 85mm (équivalent 24 × 36)
lorsque le WM-E80 est fi xé. Il est impossible d’utiliser le zoom numérique. Le fl ash
intégré se désactive automatiquement mais il est toujours possible de recourir à
des fl ashes externes optionnels.
Les effets provoqués par le bougé de l’appareil peuvent être minimisés à l’aide de
la réduction de vibration (VR). En sélectionnant Grand-angle pour l’option Ob-
jectif, la réduction de vibration sera optimisée pour le WM-E80. La réduction de
vibration ne produira pas l’effet escompté si Grand-angle n’est pas sélectionné.
Avertissements
• Ce convertisseur est destiné exclusivement au Nikon COOLPIX 8800. Il est incom-
patible avec les autres appareils photo.
• L’objectif se rétracte à la mise hors tension de l’appareil photo. Faites attention
de ne pas vous pincer les doigts entre le WM-E80 et le boîtier de l’appareil photo
lors de la rétraction de l’objectif.
• Ne tenez pas l’appareil photo uniquement par le convertisseur car cela risque
d’endommager le matériel. Retirez le WM-E80 avant de transporter l’appareil
photo.
• Des « images parasites » risquent d’apparaître lorsque le sujet est en contre-jour
ou lorsqu’une lumière vive comme le soleil, provenant du plan situé derrière le
sujet, atteint l’objectif.
• Un phénomène de distorsion risque d’apparaître à la périphérie des photos prises
avec le WM-E80. Ceci est normal.
• Utilisez l’autofocus (gros plan macro) lorsque vous photographiez avec un con-
vertisseur. L’appareil photo risque de ne pas pouvoir obtenir la mise au point
lorsque celle-ci est réglée sur l’infi ni ; en mode de mise au point manuelle, l’affi -

• Les données de prise de vue de l’appareil mentionnent uniquement la focale de
l’objectif de l’appareil et non la focale combinée.
• Remettez en place les bouchons avant et arrière du convertisseur lorsque vous ne
l’utilisez pas. A noter qu’il est parfois diffi cile de retirer le bouchon avant à basse
température.
• L’avant du convertisseur dépasse légèrement : faites attention de ne pas l’abî-
mer.
• Lorsque vous nettoyez le convertisseur, retirez la poussière avec un pinceau souf-
fl ant. Pour retirer les traces de doigts ou d’autres taches, nettoyez délicatement
le convertisseur avec un chiffon doux et propre en coton, légèrement imbibé
d’alcool éthylique pur. Effectuez un mouvement circulaire du centre vers la pé-
riphérie pour être sûr de nettoyer l’intégralité de la lentille et pour ne pas laisser
de traînées. A noter que tout corps étranger présent sur le convertisseur risque
d’être visible sur les photos.

Un étui souple et des bouchons de protection (avant et arrière) sont fournis comme
accessoires standard avec ce convertisseur. Vérifi ez qu’ils sont bien inclus.

Attention: Manipulez le WM-E80 en le tenant par l’élément principal et non
par le bouchon avant. Si ce dernier était mal fi xé, vous risqueriez de
lâcher le convertisseur WM-E80 et de le casser.
2. Retirez le bouchon avant du convertisseur (Figure 3).
Prise de vue avec le WM-E80
Avant de prendre des photos avec le WM-E80, réglez
l’option Objectif du menu Prise de vue sur Grand-an-
gle. Les réglages de l’appareil photo seront ajustés auto-
matiquement afi n d’obtenir les meilleurs résultats avec

Attention: N’essayez pas de fi xer le WM-E80 sur un fi ltre COOLPIX. Vous risquez
sinon d’endommager le fi ltre.
1. Retirez le bouchon à l’arrière du convertisseur (Figure 1) et vissez le WM-E80
dans le fi letage situé à l’avant de l’objectif de l’appareil photo (Figure 2).

mara en 0,8 veces (ángulo máximo), con lo que se consiguen mejores resultados
en la fotografía gran angular.
Acoplar el conversor WM-E80
Antes de acoplar el WM-E80:
• Apague la cámara
• Quite la tapa del objetivo de la cámara
• Quite cualquier fi ltro COOLPIX o parasol del objetivo que pudiera encontrarse en
el objetivo de la cámara
Observaciones
Al seleccionar Adp. gran angular, la cámara reduce automáticamente el zoom al
mínimo y se activa el modo Primeros planos macro (no es posible seleccionar otros
modos de enfoque). El zoom se puede ajustar manualmente entre el ángulo máxi-
mo y la posición intermedia del zoom, y la distancia focal, por tanto, es de 28 – 85
mm (equivalente a 35 mm) cuando el WM-E80 está acoplado. No es posible uti-
lizar el zoom digital; además, el fl ash incorporado se desactiva automáticamente,
si bien es posible seguir utilizando otras unidades de fl ash opcionales montadas
en la cámara.
Los efectos provocados por el temblor de la cámara se pueden atenuar activando
la Reducción de la vibración (VR). Si se ha seleccionado Adp. gran angular para
la opción Objetivo, los resultados de la función Reducción de la vibración se opti-
mizarán para su uso con el WM-E80. La Reducción de la vibración no ofrecerá los
resultados esperados si no se ha seleccionado Adp. gran angular.
Precauciones
• Este conversor sólo se puede utilizar con las cámaras digitales COOLPIX 8800 y
no se debe emplear con otras cámaras.
• El objetivo se repliega al apagar la cámara. Tenga cuidado de no pillarse los de-
dos entre el WM-E80, y el cuerpo de la cámara cuando el objetivo se repliega.
• Cuando esté acoplado, no coja la cámara sujetándola únicamente por el conver-
sor WM-E80, ya que podría dañar el equipo. Además, deberá quitar el conversor
cuando vaya a transportar la cámara.
• Es posible que aparezcan “espectros” cuando el sujeto esté iluminado a con-
traluz o cuando una fuente de luz intensa, como por ejemplo el sol, ilumine el
fotograma desde un ángulo situado por detrás del sujeto.
• Es posible que se produzca cierto grado de distorsión en los bordes de las foto-
grafías hechas con el conversor WM-E80; se trata de un hecho normal.
• Utilice el enfoque automático (primeros planos macro) al hacer fotografías con
un conversor. Es posible que la cámara no pueda enfocar si el enfoque está ajus-
tado a infi nito; en el modo de enfoque manual, el indicador de enfoque manual
no mostrará la distancia de enfoque real.
• En la información de la fotografía que se muestra en la cámara aparece tan sólo
la distancia focal del objetivo de la cámara, y no la distancia focal combinada.
• Coloque las tapas delantera y trasera del objetivo cuando no esté utilizando el
objetivo conversor. Tenga en cuenta que, a bajas temperaturas, puede ser difícil
quitar la tapa delantera.
• La parte delantera del objetivo sobresale ligeramente, razón por la cual debe
tener cuidado de no dañarla.
• Al limpiar el objetivo, quite el polvo con un soplador. Si el objetivo tiene marcas
de dedos u otro tipo de manchas, límpielas con cuidado con un paño de algodón
suave y limpio, mojado con un poco de etanol puro. Mueva el paño en forma
circular del centro hacia fuera, asegurándose de que limpia todas las partes del
objetivo y de que no deja ninguna pelusa. Tenga en cuenta que cualquier partí-
cula que haya en el objetivo puede aparecer en las fotografías.

Con el conversor se incluyen como accesorios estándar un estuche blando para
el objetivo y las tapas de protección (trasera y delantera). Compruebe que todos
están incluidos.

2. Quite la tapa delantera del objetivo conversor (fi gura 3).
Hacer fotografías con el WM-E80
Antes de fotografi ar con el WM-E80, ajuste la opción
Objetivo del menú Disparo a la posición Adp. gran
angular. La confi guración de la cámara se modifi cará
automáticamente para sacarle así el máximo partido al
