■使用上のご注意
• カメラから取り外した電池を保管したり、持ち運ぶ場合は、付属の充電コネ
クタカバーを付けてください。電池の端子をショートさせると、液もれ、発
熱、破裂の原因となり危険です。
• 充電方法、リフレッシュ放電方法、その他の注意事項などについては、専用
クイックチャージャー MH-16 の使用説明書をご覧ください。
• 初めてご使用になる時や長時間放置した後でご使用になるときは、必ず充電
してからご使用ください。
• 充電コネクタに、クイックチャージャー MH-17、MH-16、MH-15、EH-3、
マルチチャージャー MH-19 の充電プラグ以外は差し込まないでください。
※ マルチチャージャー MH-19 で充電する場合は、別売の F100/D1 チャージコード MC-E2
が別途必要になります。
• 充電は＋ 5 ∼ 35℃の範囲で行ってください。
• 充電が完了した電池を続けて再充電しないでください。電池性能が劣化しま
す。
• 充電直後や使用直後などに、やや熱くなる場合がありますが、性能その他に
異常はありません。
• 充分に充電された EN-4 でも、寒いところで使用する場合は、使用できる時
間が短くなります。予備として、充電済みの EN-4 を用意しておくことをお
すすめします。
• 通常の使用状態では、20∼30回の充電に1回ぐらいの割合でリフレッシュ
（放電）されることをおすすめします。
• 完全に充電したにもかかわらず、電池の使用時間が極端に短くなってきた場
合は、電池の寿命です。新しいリチャージャブルバッテリー EN-4 をお求め
ください。
• 高温になった車中や炎天下など、60℃以上になるところに放置しないでくだ
さい。
• 衝撃を加えたり、ショートさせたり、水に濡らしたりしないでください。
• 火気に近づけたり、火の中に投入したりしないでください。破裂する危険が
あります。
• 分解や改造はしないでください。
• 電池の端子に他の金属類が触れないようにしてください。また、端子部は常
に清潔にしておいてください。
• ガス抜き構造をテープ等でふさがないでください（図参照）。ガス抜きの穴を
ふさぐと、破裂する可能性があります。
• 充電の際に所定の充電時間を過ぎても充電が完了しない場合は、充電をやめ
てください。
• この電池が漏電したり、変色、変形、その他今までと異なることに気づいた
ときは使用しないでください。
• 電池の端子が汚れたら乾いた布で拭き、端子をきれいにしてからご使用くだ
さい。
■リフレッシュ放電について
充電式電池の特性上、完全に放電されない状態で充電を繰り返すと、次第にフ
ル充電状態の容量が減少してきます。これをメモリ効果と呼びます。メモリ効
果を解消するため、時々完全に放電してください。リフレッシュ放電の方法に
ついては、上記のクイックチャージャー（MH-17 を除く）またはマルチチャー
ジャーの使用説明書を参照してください。

Cautions
• After removing the battery from the camera for storage or transportation,
attach the battery connector cover included with the EN-4. Shorting of the
battery could result in leakage, fire or explosion.
• For details on charging and discharging the battery pack, read the instruction
manual provided with the Quick Charger MH-16.
• Charge the EN-4 pack fully before using it for the first time, or after it has
been left unused for a long period.
• Do not insert into the charging connector any charging plug other than those
provided with the MH-17, MH-16, MH-15 or EH-3 Quick Chargers, or the MH-19
Multi Charger. Use of the MH-19 Multi Charger requires the MC-E2 Charge
cord for F100/D1 (available separately).
• The battery should be charged at an ambient temperature of between +5 ° C
and 35 ° C (41 ° F and 95 ° F).
• Do not recharge a battery pack that has already been charged; this may
adversely affect the battery’s performance.
• The battery may become warm while be recharged or while the camera is in
use. This does not affect battery performance or camera function.
• The capacity of the battery tends to decrease in cold conditions. It is
recommend that you have a fully-charged spare battery on hand.
• It is recommended that the battery be refreshed (discharged) once every
twenty or thirty times it has been charged.
• Should you note that the EN-4 only holds a charge for a very short period of
time, you will need to buy a new battery.
• Do not leave the battery pack in an area exposed to extremely high tempera-
tures [60
° C (140 ° F) or more], such as inside a car or in direct sunlight.
• Do not apply strong physical shock to the battery pack, do not short-circuit
the terminals, and do not get the battery pack wet.
• Do not expose batteries to heat or flame, as this may cause an explosion.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the battery.
• Do not touch the battery terminals with other metal objects. Keep the battery
terminals clean.
• Do not cover the area containing the gas vent (see figure). Covering the vent
could cause the battery to explode.
• If fails to recharge in the specified period of time, stop charging the battery
pack immediately.
• Do not use the battery pack if you detect discoloration, deformation, leakage,
or other abnormalities.
• Should the electrodes become dirty, wipe them clean with a dry cloth before
using the battery.
Discharging the battery pack
When you charge a rechargeable battery that has not been fully discharged, a
“memory” effect occurs which gradually reduces the battery’s capacity when
fully charged. To prevent this, it is recommended that you occasionally
discharge the battery fully. Refer to the instruction manuals for the Quick
Chargers (except the MH-17), or the Multi Charger, mentioned above for
information on discharging (refreshing) the batteries.

• Después de extraer la batería de la cámara para su almacenamiento o su
transporte, acople la cubierta de los terminales incluida con la EN-4. Un

Cuando se carga una batería recargable sin que se haya descargado del todo,
se produce un efecto de “memoria” que reduce la capacidad de la batería
cuando está totalmente cargada. Para evitar este efecto, se recomienda que,
ocasionalmente, descargue del todo la batería. Si desea más información
sobre la descarga de la batería, consulte los manuales de instrucciones de los
cargadores rápidos (excepto del MH-17) o del multicargador mencionados
anteriormente.
