Problems with Image Upload Utility
(For customers in Europe only)
This part explains possible solutions to problems uploading image files to
“Sony Style Imaging”, using e-mail software on your computer via the
HotSync
®
operation.
A reception error may occur with “Sony Style Imaging”, depending on the
settings of e-mail software such as Microsoft Outlook.
Refer to the solutions describe below and check the settings of the e-mail
software on your computer.
I cannot send e-mail messages transferred to the computer
via the HotSync
®
operation
B Select MIME (Base64) format for attached files.
b For details, refer to the operating instructions or help text of your e-mail
software.
B If you are using Microsoft Outlook, double-click the e-mail message in the
Outbox folder to open it and then send the message.
B If you are using Microsoft Outlook, change the message format from Rich
Text (HTML) to Plain Text.
I received an e-mail message from Sony Style Imaging
when I sent an e-mail transferred from my CLIÉ handheld
to my computer via the HotSync
®
operation. The message
said, “The attached file is in rich text format which is not
supported. Please change e-mail application settings of
your computer to send e-mail as unformatted text.”
B Your e-mail was sent in Rich Text format.
Change the message text format from Rich Text to Plain Text, and open the
e-mail message once before sending.
