Recording/Playback
Recording and playback with ease
(Easy Handycam operation)
Easy Handycam operation makes nearly all settings automatic so that you can perform
recording or playback operations without detailed settings. It also makes the screen font size
larger for easy viewing. The images are recorded on the selected media (p. 20).
Recording movies

Turn the POWER switch  until the
(Movie) lamp lights up.

Press EASY .

Press START/STOP  (or ) to
start recording.*
To stop recording, press START/STOP
again.
Recording still images

Turn the POWER switch  until the
(Still) lamp lights up.

Press EASY .

Press PHOTO  lightly to adjust the
focus  (a beep sounds), then press
it fully  (a shutter click sounds).
* The setting of [REC MODE] is fixed to [SP] (p. 57).
Flashing  Lights up
appears on
the LCD screen.
[STBY]  [REC]
appears on
the LCD screen.
Open the LENS COVER (p. 19)
If the POWER switch is set to OFF
(CHG), turn it while pressing the
green button.
