Introduction
8-Port 10/100Mbps Ethernet Switch
Congratulations on your purchase of the 8-Port 10/100Mbps Ethernet Switch. This
switch integrates 100Mbps Fast Ethernet and 10Mbps Ethernet network
capabilities in a sleek and slim package.
Before you begin, please verify that you have all the parts listed in the Package
Contents.

Connecting the Switch
The 8 UTP/STP ports of the switch
support automatic MDI/MDIX crossover
detection, which allows for true “plug-and-
play” capability. With the Auto-MDI
function, you can simply plug in an
Ethernet cable into the switch without
worrying about if the other end of the
cable is connected to a network adapter
or to another switch or hub.
Powering on the switch is as easy as plugging in
the AC Power Adapter to the power port of the
switch.
The 8-port switch has built-in LED indicators:
Power: Solid green indicates the switch is receiving power.
Link/ACT: Solid green indicates the port is connected to a station. Blinking green
indicates the port is sending/receiving data over the network.
