Operation
• Do not drop the unit, or apply excessive
physical shock to it as malfunction may
result.
• Do not disassemble or modify the unit.
Installation
Do not subject the unit to:
– Extreme high temperature such as under
sunlight or near a heat source
– Dust, dirt, or sand
– High humidity
– Unstable surface or inclined place
– Direct sunlight (E.g., in a car with its
windows closed)
– Vibration
Cleaning
• Clean the unit with a soft, dry cloth. If the
unit is very dirty, wipe it off with a soft
cloth lightly moistened with a mild
detergent solution, and then wipe with a
soft dry cloth.
• Do not use any type of solvent such as
alcohol, thinner, or benzene as it may
damage the finish of the unit.
• If you use any chemical cleaner, observe
the instructions provided with the product.

• If the unit is splashed with any type of
solvent such as insecticide, or remains in
contact for along time with rubber or vinyl,
the finish of the cabinet may be damaged.

How to Use
1 Take off the cap
Hold the cap with your thumb and finger
and pull open (Figure A).
Notes
• Do not press down strongly on the front
(speaker section) of the unit.
• Hold the side when handling the unit.
2 Connect this unit firmly to the WM-
PORT of your “WALKMAN” (Figure
B). This unit is automatically
turned on after the connected
“WALKMAN” is turned on.
Hint
• You can attach the cap to avoid losing it
(Figure C).
3 Play back “WALKMAN.”
Adjust the volume by the “WALKMAN.”
Notes
• Disconnect this unit from the “WALKMAN” if
you wish to listen via the headphone jack of
“WALKMAN.”
• Some “WALKMAN” models are not
designed to allow both connection of its
headphones and this unit.
To listen to FM radio broadcasts via the FM
tuner of the “WALKMAN”, be sure to
connect the headphones to the
“WALKMAN.” A “WALKMAN” cannot
receive a broadcast properly without using
headphones, since the headphone cord
works as the FM antenna.
• Unit playback duration depends on the
model of “WALKMAN” and the playing
mode selected.
• If this unit is used with a “WALKMAN”
with low remaining battery power, it may
be shut off. In such cases, please check the
remaining battery level.
• If this unit is connected while the
“WALKMAN” is playing back, sound from
the unit will gradually become louder
(Fade-in).
• The unit includes a feature has a system to
prevent sound quality deterioration. As a
result, sound may remain at the same level,
even though the volume is turned up during
playback.

• Pour éviter de causer des problèmes de
fonctionnement, ne faites pas tomber
l’appareil et ne le soumettez pas à des chocs
physiques excessifs.
• Ne tentez pas de démonter ou de modifier
cet appareil.
Installation
N’exposez pas cet appareil à :
– une température extrêmement élevée, comme
sous les rayons du soleil ou près d’une source
de chaleur
– la poussière, aux saletés ou au sable
– une humidité élevée
– une surface instable ou inclinée
– l’ensoleillement direct (comme dans une
voiture aux vitres fermées)
– des vibrations
Nettoyage
• Nettoyez cet appareil avec un chiffon sec et
doux. Lorsqu’il est très sale, nettoyez-le
avec un chiffon doux légèrement imbibé
d’une solution détergente diluée, puis
essuyez-le avec un chiffon sec et doux.
• N’utilisez aucun solvant tel que de l’alcool,
du diluant ou du benzène, qui risquerait
d’endommager le fini de cet appareil.
• Si vous utilisez un nettoyant chimique,
respectez les instructions fournies avec le
produit.
• Pour ne pas endommager le fini du boîtier,
évitez d’éclabousser l’appareil avec tout
solvant, incluant les insecticides, ou de le
laisser en contact prolongé avec du
caoutchouc ou du vinyle.

Instructions
d’utilisation
1 Retirez le capuchon.
Tenez le capuchon entre votre pouce et
vos doigts, puis tirez-le pour l’ouvrir
(Figure A).
Remarques
• N’appuyez pas avec force sur la face
avant (section du haut-parleur) de
l’appareil.
• Manipulez l’appareil en le tenant par le
côté.
2 Branchez cet appareil fermement
dans la prise WM-PORT de votre «
WALKMAN » (Figure B). Cet
appareil s’active automatiquement
lorsque le « WALKMAN » raccordé
est mis en marche.
Conseils
• Vous pouvez fixer le capuchon pour
éviter de le perdre (Figure C).
3 Mettez le « WALKMAN » en mode
de lecture.
Réglez le volume sur le « WALKMAN .»
