Using PC Cards

Your computer includes two PC card slots. PC cards allow you to connect
portable external devices such as another hard disk drive, or to connect to a
network.

To insert a PC card

Use the lower slot for Type III PC cards.

1.

Pull the PC card release button out from the computer and push it in
toward the computer.

2.

Remove the PC card slot protector.
When you use a Type III PC card, you need to remove both the top and
bottom PC card slot protectors.

Warning: When using a PC card with a head that sticks out of the slot (Wireless LAN
cards, etc.), do not move your computer with the PC card inserted. Once a PC card is
inserted, do not add any force to the PC card, such as touching the head of a PC card
when you lift up your computer. It may damage your computer.

You do not need to shut down the computer before inserting or removing a PC card.
