• Under fluorescent lights that flicker, the white balance function may not work correctly even though you

select [Fluorescent Light 1], [Fluorescent Light 2], [Fluorescent Light 3].

• Except in [Flash] modes, [White Bal] is set to [Auto] when the flash strobes.

Adjusts the amount of flash light.

• To change flash mode, see page 24.

The flash strobes two or more times before
shooting to reduce the red-eye phenomenon when
using the flash.

(Flash)

Adjusts for the flash conditions.

• You cannot select this item when shooting movies.

Toward –: Makes the flash level lower.

(Normal)

(+)

Toward +: Makes the flash level higher.

Red Eye Reduction: Reducing the red-eye
phenomenon

(Auto)

Reduces the red-eye phenomenon whenever necessary, only
when using the Face Detection Function.

(On)

The flash always strobes to reduce the red-eye phenomenon.

(Off)

Does not use Red Eye Reduction.
