Beaming between your Sony CLIÉ Handheld and another Palm OS

Beaming information
You can beam the data in your CLIÉ handheld to another Palm OS PDA device
that has an IR port.

Select the data, category, or business card you want to
beam.

Tap the Menu icon.

Tap one of the following:
• The Beam command for an individual record
• In Address Book only: Beam Business Card
• Beam Category

When the Beam dialog box is displayed, point the IR port of
your CLIÉ handheld directly to the IR port of another Palm
OS PDA device.
Tip
For best performance of the data exchange, keep 4 to 8 inches (approximately 10 to
20 centimeters) from your CLIÉ handheld to another Palm OS PDA device. Do not
place any obstacle between the devices. The optimum distance for beaming may
vary depending on devices.

Wait for a while until the Beam dialog box to display that the
transfer is complete.
