! ! The first time you select an item under

you are prompted to create a password. You must create a new password each time you
turn on


! ! . To turn on 

! ! and define a password:
1. Select “Turn on Parental Controls.” A 3
* screen appears.
2. Use the remote control to enter a four digit password. Press SELECT. The screen
clears.
3. Enter the same password again for confirmation. Press SELECT. You will be
returned to the Parental Controls screen. Parental Controls will be on and the
padlock icon will appear bright and locked.

" You can lock individual channels. A password is required to view any
program on a locked channel. To lock or unlock channels:
1. SELECT “Channel Lock.” A password screen appears.
2. Enter the password and press SELECT. If 

! ! are off, you first set a
new password, and then 

! ! are turned on. A channel list appears
with a padlock icon to the left of locked channels.
3. To lock or unlock a channel, highlight it and press SELECT. Use CHAN UP/
DOWN to move through the list quickly. You can highlight a particular channel by
entering its channel number. The highlight bar will move to that channel.
4. To return to the 

! ! screen, press the LEFT or RIGHT arrow. Your
changes are saved when you leave the screen.
