Types of discs you can use

This section explains about discs you can use for backing up a disc or creating a disc playable on other
DVD players.
The types of discs you can use ( ) for copying vary by the disc type recorded with your camcorder
and the disc type used to create the disc you want to copy. For details, refer to the charts below.

Notes

z

You cannot copy from 12 cm disc to 8 cm disc.

z

When a 12 cm disc is copied to a 12 cm disc, a +R DL 12 cm disc can be the destination only for a +R DL 12 cm original
disc.

z

You cannot use an 8 cm disc with the DVD drive of a computer. To write videos and still images to an 8cm disc, use your
camcorder.

z

DVD-R DL is not supported.

z

To copy a disc recorded using other than a DVD+RW disc, the disc must be finalized.
