Touch [SAVE].
The [TITLE] indicator appears. When you press START/STOP to start
recording, the [TITLE SAVE] indicator is displayed on the screen for about
5 seconds, and the title is set.
To superimpose a title on the recorded tape
The title is recorded for about 5 seconds after recording starts.
Make sure the POWER switch is set to PLAY/EDIT mode.
1 Select the position at which you want to superimpose the title.
1 Touch [INPUT TITLE].
2 Select the direction in which to scan with / .
3 Touch the thumbnail on which you want to superimpose the title, and
touch [EXEC] or touch the thumbnail again.
2 Follow steps 1 to 4 in “To superimpose a title on the tape when you start
recording”.
3 Touch [SAVE].
The [TITLE SAVE] indicator is displayed on the screen for about 5 seconds,
and the title is set. Then, the screen returns to the thumbnail index screen.
b Notes
• The point you superimposed the title may be detected as an index signal when searching a
recording with other video device.
• In the default setting, when you leave your camcorder without performing any operations
for about 5 minutes after you turn on your camcorder, the power automatically goes off. If
you take 5 minutes or longer to enter characters, you can keep the power on by setting
[A.SHUT OFF] to [NEVER] in the
(STANDARD SET) menu (p. 70). Even though
the power goes off, the characters you have entered remain stored in memory. Turn the
power back on, then start again from step 1 to continue superimposing the title.
z Tips
• To change a created title, select the title in step 1 in “To superimpose a title on the tape
when you start recording”. Then touch and reselect the characters again.
• You can create an original title by touching [TITLE SET] with the POWER switch set to
PLAY/EDIT mode before step 1 in “To superimpose a title on the recorded tape”.
TITL ERASE
1 Select the title that you want to erase using / , then touch .
2 Confirm the title is the one you want to erase, then touch [YES].
To cancel the operation, touch [NO].
3 Touch .
TITLE DISP
You can view the title when you playback the picture.
G ON Select to display the title when a scene superimposed with a title
appears.
OFF Select when you do not want to display the title.
