Features

Thank you for purchasing this Sony SACD/DVD player.
Here are some of the features you will enjoy.

Compatible with progressive (480p) signal
format TVs
By connecting your TV to the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT
connectors on this player, you can choose between the
standard interlace signals or the high quality progressive
signals if your TV accepts the progressive signal format.
When outputting the progressive signal, you can set the
signal to match either video or film based software to
ensure a perfect match between the DVD software and
your hardware.

Capable of playing 2 channel SACDs (Super Audio
CD)
This player will play both standard audio CDs and the
high quality sounds contained in the HD (high density)
layer of stereo Super Audio CDs.

Capable of detailed video image settings
In addition to standard brightness and color settings, this
player also has a variety of ways to reduce noise, increase
sharpness and adjust the gamma value to create the ideal
image. Furthermore, these adjustments can either be
saved for each of your discs (Playback Memory) or can be
saved to one of five settings (memory 1 through 5) so you
can quickly adjust the player to the type of DVD software
that you are watching.

High quality sound reproduction
By pressing the AUDIO DIRECT button on the player, the
digital audio output and video output can be cut. This
will eliminate the effects of the digital audio and video
circuitry, thus providing even clearer analog audio output.
The VIDEO ON/OFF button on the remote can be used to
cut just the video signal. Use these buttons when you
want to experience the full clarity of an audio CD such as
an Super Audio CD.

Access control (Custom Parental Control)
You can set a password that will control the access of a
maximum of 300 discs.

Adjustable display brightness and high visibility
remote buttons
You can adjust the brightness of the front panel display, or
turn it off completely. This is useful when you are
watching a movie with the lights turned low and you do
not want to be disturbed by a bright display window.
Conversely, selected buttons on the remote can be set to
light up so that you can operate your player when the
room is dark.
