Chapter 4. Customer Replaceable Units (CRUs)

Customer Replaceable Units (CRUs) are parts that can be upgraded or replaced
by the customer. If a CRU is determined to be defective during the warranty
period, a replacement CRU will be provided to the customer. Customers are
responsible for installing the self-service CRUs for this product. Customers also
can install optional-service CRUs, which might require some technical skills or
tools, or request that a technician install the optional-service CRU under the terms
of the applicable warranty service type for your country or region.

The User Guide and Hardware Maintenance Manual for your server provides
instructions for replacing self-service and optional-service CRUs. The User Guide
and Hardware Maintenance Manual is available on both the documentation DVD
that comes with your server and the Lenovo Web site at:
http://www.lenovo.com/ThinkServerUserGuides

Note: Use only parts provided by Lenovo.

The following are lists of CRUs for machine types 70AA, 70AB, 70AC, 70AD, 70AE,
