lithium battery. When discarding this product, please
following the instructions noted below to remove the
lithium-ion battery.

DANGER

[Built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery]

Please follow the instructions noted. Failure to
do so may cause the built-in lithium-ion battery
to leak, overheat, ignite, or rupture.

Do not dispose of the device in fire or expose it to

heat.

Do not attempt to disassemble the battery or alter it in

any way.

Do not throw the device, strike it with a hammer or

be exposed to high temperatures, such as near a
stove or inside a closed automobile.

In the event that the built-in lithium-ion battery leaks

but rinse with copious amounts of clean water and
seek immediate medical treatment. Your eyes may be

seriously harmed by exposure to such battery fluid.

Do not allow the battery to be immersed in fresh or

Do not attempt to connect the device directly to an AC

Do not handle a lithium-ion battery that is leaking. If

leaking battery fluid contacts your skin, wash quickly

This procedure requires the tools listed below.
Be sure to assemble the necessary items before
beginning.

Ordinary flat-head (−) screwdriver
Ordinary Phillips(+) screwdriver
Precision (glasses) Phillips (+) screwdriver
Wire cutters (or scissors)

CAUTION

The instructions provided here to “assist with battery

recycling” are meant to allow the device’s built-in
rechargeable lithium-ion battery to be removed at the

end of the device’s service life, before final device
disposal. The device’s warranty is invalidated the
moment the device is opened.

In order to avoid short circuits, remove the battery only

after confirming that the battery’s storage capacity has
been fully depleted. Even when the power no longer
turns on, some residual current remains in the battery.
It is recommended to remove the lithium-ion battery
only after leaving the device with the power turned
on for several days, to assure that the battery is fully
depleted.

WARNING

Disconnect the AC adapter before performing these

procedures.

Do not contact the touch sensor while performing

these procedures.

In the event that the power is turned on while

performing these procedures, turn off the power and
then begin the procedures again.
