Message Manager

Remote Retrieval

You can call your fax machine from any touch tone telephone or fax
machine, then use a Remote Access Code and remote commands
to retrieve voice (and fax) messages. You can also program and
change some settings for your Message Manager.

Using the Remote Access Code

Dial your fax number from a touch tone telephone or another
fax machine using touch tone.

When your fax machine answers, immediately enter your
Remote Access Code. (3 digits followed by

)

The fax machine signals if it has received messages.

1 long beep—Fax message(s)

2 long beeps—Voice message(s)

3 long beeps—Fax and Voice message(s)

No beeps—no messages

The fax machine gives two short beeps to tell you to enter a
command. The fax machine hangs up if you wait longer than
30 seconds to enter a command. The fax machine beeps
three times if you enter an invalid command.

Press 9 0 to reset the fax machine when you’ve finished.

Hang up.

Setting your Remote Access Code

The remote access code lets you access the Remote Retrieval
features when you are away from your fax machine. Before you
use the remote access and retrieval features, you have to set up
your own code. The default code is inactive code (---

).

Press Menu/Set, 8, 7.

Enter a three-digit code using number keys 0-9,

and #.

Press Menu/Set.

(The preset

cannot be changed.)

Press Stop/Exit.

Do not use the same code which is set in your Fax Receive
Code (

51), Telephone Answer Code (#51) or DECT

Activation Voice Code (

81).

You can change your code at any time by entering a new one.
If you want to make your code inactive, press Stop/Exit in
Step 2 to restore the inactive setting (---

).
