INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

* Installation Recommendation: JBA recommends in most cases that the vehicle be taken to a reputable exhaust shop.

12mm socket

A. Intermediate pipe

Channel lock pliers
Hammer
Pry bar
Spray lubricant or penetrating oil

14mm socket

B. High flow muffler

C. Tail pipe/tip w/ hangers

1. Remove and inventory JBA exhaust.

TO START:

2. Disconnect negative battery cable
and allow vehicle exhaust to cool.

5. Using the pry bar, remove the tail
pipe hangers from the rubber
isolators.

6. Using the 12mm socket and
ratchet, remove the nuts that secure
the Oxygen sensor to the intermediate
pipe. Remove Oxygen sensor.

7. Remove tail pipe hanger from
factory rubber isolator.

8. Remove factory exhaust from the
vehicle.

9. Install new tail pipe (C) by inserting
the tail pipe hanger into the factory
rubber isolator.

10. Insert front tail pipe hangers into
factory rubber isolators.

12. Install Oxygen sensor into new
intermediate pipe (A) using factory
12mm hardware.

13. Install and secure the new
intermediate pipe (A) into the vehicle
by reinstalling the factory Catalytic
Converter bolts and nuts.

14. Using the 14mm wrench, socket,
and ratchet, tighten the Catalytic
Converter bolts and nuts.

11. Slip muffler (B) into the tail pipe
(C) as shown in the photo.

15. Insert intermediate pipe (A) into
muffler (B) and install exhaust clamp
(D) at the front of the muffler (B).

16. Install exhaust clamp (D) at the
rear of the muffler (B).

17. JBA recommends that you tack
weld all slip connections in three
spots.

18. After installation, it is
recommended that all clamps be
re-tightened after checking for leaks.

NOTES:

1) All exhaust systems will expand
roughly 1" rearward when exhaust
temperatures start to rise.

2) Use Anti-seize on threads of clamps.

19. Lower the vehicle and reattach
the negative battery cable.

3. With the vehicle raised and properly
supported, use the 14mm wrench,
14mm socket and ratchet to remove
the bolts from the Catalytic Converter
flange.

4. Spray penetrating oil on all factory
rubber isolators.
