To change the sample time:

6.1.2 Select Triggers

The SAM 935 can be configured to monitor up to 22 triggers at one time. You can configure three types of
triggers:

Isotope

Any isotope from the isotope library.

Full Spectrum

The total counts in the entire spectrum are summed and compared to the
background.

Unknown Peak

The spectrum is searched for peaks. Any peaks found that are not associ-
ated with the isotopes being monitored are tested against the trigger
requirements.

The sensitivity of each trigger can be set independently. You can also control several parameters that
affect the overall sensitivity of the SAM 935 and its ability to discriminate false-positive triggers.

To edit what triggers the SAM 935 is monitoring, choose

Select Triggers and press E

A scrollable list will appear. There are four types of entries: FULL, PEAK, An Isotope Name, <unused>.

Depending on the type of entry to which the cursor is pointing, the function keys will change, as shown in
the following table:
