INsTALLATION GuIDELINEs fOR NATuRAL GAs QuICk CONNECT
COuPLING sOCkET
1. turn off natural gas supply at the shut-off valve on the gas source
piping.
2. Apply teflon ® tape to the male threads on the gas source piping.
3. Connect the female threaded end of the coupling socket to the gas
source piping in accordance with NFPA-54/ANSI Z223.1 Fuel Gas
Code.
4. turn on natural gas supply at the valve on the gas source piping and
check for leaks.
5. to connect, push back the sleeve on the coupling socket and insert
the male fitting into the socket and release the sleeve. Push male
fitting until the sleeve snaps forward locking the male fitting in the
coupling socket. Note: this automatically initiates the flow of natural
gas to the appliance.

1. Cierre el suministro de gas natural en la válvula de cierre de la
tubería de la fuente de gas.
2. Aplique cinta teflon ® a las roscas macho de la tubería de la fuente
de gas.
3. Conecte el extremo roscado hembra del acoplamiento a la tubería
de la fuente de gas de acuerdo con el Código de gas combustible
NFPA-54/ANSI Z223.1.

calce a presión hacia adelante trabando el adaptador macho en el
conector. Nota: Esto inicia automáticamente el flujo de gas natural al
artefacto.

ADVERTENCIA
Cuando realice la prueba de fugas en las conexiones:
• Realice la prueba de fugas al aire libre en un área bien ventilada.
• No fume.
• No use ni permita fuentes de ignición en el área mientras realiza una
prueba de fugas.
• No use fósforos, encendedores ni llamas para verificar si hay fugas.
• No use el artefacto hasta que se corrija cualquier fuga existente.
PRuEbA DE fuGAs
1. Antes de encender el artefacto, verifique que no haya fugas aplicando
una solución de agua jabonosa a todas las conexiones. La aparición
de burbujas indica una fuga. Enjuague con agua limpia luego de
realizar la prueba de fuga para quitar cualquier residuo corrosivo.
2. Repare todas las fugas antes de encender el artefacto. Si no puede
detener una fuga ajustando más la conexión, cierre el suministro de
gas natural en la válvula de cierre de la tubería fuente. Desconecte la
manguera de gas natural del suministro de gas y pídale a un técnico
de servicio de gas que realice las reparaciones necesarias.
WARNING
When leak testing the connections::
• Conduct leak test outdoors in a well ventilated area.
• Do not smoke.
• Do not use or permit sources of ignition in the area while conducting
a leak test.
• Do not use matches, lighters or flame to check for leaks.
• Do not use the appliance until any leaks are corrected.
LEAk TEsTING
1. Before lighting your appliance, check for leaks by applying a mild
soapy water solution to all connections. the appearance of bubbles
indicates a leak. Rinse with clean water after leak testing to remove
any potential corrosive residue.
2. Repair any leaks prior to lighting your appliance. If you cannot stop
a leak by additional tightening of the connection, turn off the natural
gas supply at the shut-off valve on the gas source piping. Disconnect
the natural gas hose from gas supply and have a gas service person
make the needed repairs.
