MEASURE TEMPERATURE
Press the ON/OFF button. The unit will display “888.8” for 2 to 3 seconds, then itwill display the
temperature of the T1 (Temperature 1) probe and a small “1” at the right side of the display. If
there is no probe in the T1 jack the unit will display “LO”. Install one of the temperature probes
into the T1 jack (located above the battery door) to measure temperature on T1. To measure
temperature on T2 install one of the temperature probes into the T2 jack (located to the right of the T1 jack).
Press the TEMP 2 button and the display will show four dashes “----”, then the temperature of T2 and a small
“2” at the right of the display.
MEASURE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE
With temperature probes installed in both T1 and T2, press the DIFF/WET BULB button and the
display will show the four dashes, then the ABSOLUTE DIFFERENCE between T1 and T2 and
the numbers 1 and 2 at the right of the display.
DISPLAY WET BULB TEMPERATURE
While the unit is showing the %RH reading, press the DIFF/WET BULB button. The display will show four
dashes, then the calculated Wet Bulb Temperature and W/BULB at the right of the display.
MEASURE RELATIVE HUMIDITY
Install the Relative Humidity probe into the T3 jack (located to the right of T2). Press the
%RH/TEMP 3 button. The display will show four dashes, then the % Relative Humidity and a
small %RH and number “3” at the right of the display. Press the %RH/TEMP 3 button again to
display the temperature reading of the humidity probe and the number 3 at the right of the display.
Press %RH/TEMP 3 button again to return to reading %RH.
DISPLAY MIN/MAX READINGS
The SRH77A will display the lowest and highest temperature readings seen by T1, T2, TEMP
DIFF, %RH, or T3 since the unit was turned on. The MIN/MAX values for a probe can be viewed
while that particular probe is selected for display. Example; while the SRH77A is displaying
TEMP 1, the temperature of T1 rises from 40°F to 100°F (4.4°C to 37.8°C), then drops to 60°F
(15.6°C). The display now shows 60°F (15.6°C). Press the MIN/MAX button. Dashes will show, then the
MIN value 40°F (4.4°C) for a few seconds, then MAX value 100°F (37.8°C) for a few seconds, then back to
the current probe temperature, 60°F (15.6°C). Note also that while the MIN/MAX values are being displayed,
the small characters on the right hand side of the display will blank out to indicate the MIN/MAX function.
These characters will re-appear when the actual probe reading is back on the display.

CAUTION
This unit is not waterproof. Do not immerse for cleaning. If unit becomes wet inside
because of cleaning, rain, or condensation, unstable readings may occur.

Model SRH77A CLEAR MIN/MAX MEMORY
Each probe has its own MIN/MAX memory which can be cleared without losing the MIN/MAX values stored
for the other probes. Example; to clear MIN/MAX values for T1, press the TEMP 1 button to display T1.
Next, press the MIN/MAX button to display T1 MIN/MAX values. While the MIN/MAX values are showing
on the display, press the MIN/MAX button again. The display will show the letters “CL” to indicate that the
memory for T1 has been cleared. The SRH77A will then return to showing T1 on the display and begin to
store a new set of MIN/MAX values. The procedure for clearing the other probe values is the same. If the
SRH77A is turned off, MIN/MAX values for all probes will be cleared.
SELECT TEMPERATURE SCALE
Temperature may be displayed in either °F or °C. To change the temperature scale, while the
SRH77A is powered on, press the °F/°C Button.
BACKLIGHT THE DISPLAY
The display of the SRH77A can be illuminated by pressing the LIGHT/OC button. The backlight
will turn off automatically after approximately 30 seconds, or may be turned off by pressing the
LIGHT/OC button a second time.
DISABLE THE AUTO-SHUT OFF
The SRH77A will normally turn itself off after 15 minutes. Pressing any of the buttons will delay the
automatic shut-off for another 15 minutes. The technician can disable this auto-off feature by pressing the
LIGHT/OC button three times within 5 seconds. The small °F (or °C if in Celsius scale) at the right side of
the display will blink on and off to indicate that the SRH77A is in “ON CONTINUOUS” mode and will not
turn itself off.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When the 9 volt alkaline battery in the SRH77A needs to be replaced the display will show
“LO P” (low power). Replace the battery with a 9 volt alkaline battery.
OPTIONAL BATTERY ELIMINATOR
The SRH77A is equipped with a power jack that will accept an optional power supply. When the optional
power supply is installed in the SRH77A, the battery will not discharge. It is recommended that the optional
power supply be used if the technician intends to run the unit for extended time as described in the
“DISABLE THE AUTO-SHUT OFF” section.

Cada sonda tiene su propia memoria MIN / MAX que se puede borrar sin perder los valores MIN / MAX
guardados para las otras sondas. Ejemplo: Para borrar los valores MIN / MAX para T1, oprima el botón
TEMP 1 para mostrar T1. Luego, oprima el botón MIN / MAX para mostrar los valores MIN / MAX de T1. Con
los valores MIN / MAX en la pantalla, oprima otra vez el botón MIN / MAX. Aparecerán las letras “CL” en la
pantalla para indicar que se ha borrado la memoria para T1. Luego el SRH77A volverá a mostrar T1 en la
pantalla y comenzará a guardar un nuevo conjunto de valores MIN / MAX. El procedimiento para borrar los
valores de las otras sondas es semejante. Si se apaga el SRH77A, se borrarán los valores MIN/ MAX para
todas las sondas.

ILUMINACIÓN DE FONDO DE LA PANTALLA
Se puede iluminar la pantalla del SRH77A al oprimir el botón LIGHT/OC (Luz/EC). Se apagará
automáticamente la iluminación de fondo después de aproximadamente 30 segundos, o se
puede apagar al oprimir una segunda vez el botón LIGHT/OC.
DESHABILITAR EL APAGADO AUTOMÁTICO
Normalmente, el SRH77A se apaga solo después de 15 minutos. Si se oprime cualquiera de los botones,
se retrasa el apagado automático por otros 15 minutos. El técnico puede deshabilitar esta función de
apagado automático por medio de oprimir tres veces el botón LIGHT/OC (Luz/EC) durante 5 segundos. La
pequeña °F (o °C en la escala Celsius) al lado derecho de la pantalla parpadeará para indicar que el
SRH77A está en el modo de “ENCENDIDO CONTINUO” y no se apagará.
COLOCACIÓN DE LA BATERÍA
Cuando se necesita reemplazar la batería alcalina de 9 voltios en el SRH77A, "LO P" (carga baja) aparecerá
en la pantalla. Reemplace la batería con una batería alcalina de 9 voltios.
ELIMINADOR DE BATERÍAS OPCIONAL
El SRH77A está equipado con un conector de corriente que acepta una fuente de alimentación opcional.
Cuando la alimentación opcional está instalada en el SRH77A, la batería no se descargará. Se recomienda
el uso de la alimentación opcional si el técnico piensa mantener la unidad encendida durante un período
extendido, como se describe en la sección “DESHABILITAR EL APAGADO AUTOMÁTICO".

MIDA LA TEMPERATURA
Oprima el botón ON/OFF. La unidad mostrará “888.8” de 2 a 3 segundos, luego mostrará la
temperatura de la sonda T1 (Temperatura 1) y un número “1” pequeño a la derecha de la pantalla.
Si no hubiera una sonda conectada al enchufe T1, la unidad mostrará “LO”. Instale una de las
sondas de temperatura en el enchufe T1 (ubicada encima de la puerta de la batería) para medir
la temperatura en T1. Para medir la temperatura en T2 o T3, instale una de las sondas de
temperatura en los enchufes T2 o T3 (ubicados a la derecha del enchufe T1). Oprima el botón TEMP 2 o
TEMP 3 y la pantalla mostrará cuatro guiones “----“, luego la temperatura correcta y un número “2” o “3” a
la derecha de la pantalla.
MEDIR LA DIFERENCIA DE TEMPERATURA
Con las sondas de temperatura instaladas en T1 y T2, oprima el botón DIFF/WET BULB
(Dif/Depósito Húmedo) y aparecerán cuatro guiones en la pantalla, luego la DIFERENCIA
ABSOLUTA entre T1 y T2 y los números “1” y “2” al lado derecho de la pantalla.
MOSTRAR TEMPERATURA HÚMEDA
Cuando la unidad muestra la lectura de %RH (%HR), oprima el botón DIFF/WET BULB (Dif/Depósito
Húmedo). Aparecerán cuatro guiones en la pantalla, luego el calculo de Temperatura Húmeda y “W/BULB”
(Depósito H) al lado derecho de la pantalla.
MEDIR LA HUMEDAD RELATIVA
Instale la sonda de Humedad Relativa en el conector T3 (ubicado a la derecha de T2). Oprima el
botón %RH/TEMP 3 (%HR/Temp 3). Aparecerán cuatro guiones en la pantalla, luego el % de
Humedad Relativa y “%RH” en letra chiquita y el número “3” al lado derecho de la pantalla.
Oprima otra vez el botón %RH/TEMP 3 para mostrar la lectura de temperatura de la sonda de
humedad y el número “3” al lado derecho de la pantalla. Oprima otra vez el botón %RH/TEMP 3 para
regresar a la lectura de %HR.
MOSTRAR LECTURAS MIN / MAX
La pantalla del SRH77A mostrará las lecturas de temperatura más bajas y más altas para T1, T2,
TEMP DIFF, %RH o T3 desde que se prendió la unidad. Se pueden ver los valores MIN /MÁS
para una sonda cuando esta sonda en particular está seleccionada en la pantalla. Ejemplo:
Mientras el SRH77A muestra TEMP 1, la temperatura de T1 sube de 40°F a 100°F (4.4°C a
37.8°C), y luego baja a 60°F (15.6°C). Ahora la pantalla muestra 60°F (15.6°C). Oprima el botón MIN / MAX.
Aparecerán guiones, luego el valor MIN de 40°F (4.4°C) durante algunos segundos, luego el valor MAX de
100°F (37.8°C) durante algunos segundos, luego se regresa a la temperatura actual de la sonda, 60°F
(15.6°C). Fíjese también que mientras se muestran los valores MIN / MAX, los caracteres pequeños al lado
derecho de la pantalla se borrarán para indicar la función MIN / MAX. Reaparecerán estos caracteres
cuando la lectura actual de la sonda esté de nuevo en la pantalla.

MESURER LA TEMPERATURE
Appuyer sur le bouton ON/OFF (marche/arret). L’appareil affichera “888,8” pendant 2 ou 3
secondes, puis la température à la sonde T1 (Température 1) et un petit « 1 » apparaît à droite
de l’écran. Si aucune sonde n’est branchée à la prise T1, « LO» apparaitra sur l’écran. Pour
mesurer la température sur T1, placer l’une des sondes de température sur la prise T1 (située au-
dessus du loquet de la pile). Pour mesurer la température T2 ou T3, brancher l’une des sondes de
température dans la prise T2 ou T3 (situées à droite de la prise T1). Appuyer sur le bouton TEMP 2 ou TEMP
3 et quatre tirets « ----» s’afficheront sur l’écran. et la temperature correspondante et un petit « 2 » ou « 3 »
apparaissent à droite de l’écran.
MESURER LA DIFFÉRENCE DE TEMPÉRATURES
En plaçant les sondes de températures dans T1 et T2, appuyer sur le bouton DIFF/WET BULB et
quatre tirets s’afficheront sur l’écran, puis ABSOLUTE DIFFERENCE (la différence absolue) entre
T1 et T2 et les numéros 1 et 2 apparaissent à droite de l’écran
.
AFFICHER LA TEMPÉRATURE DE L’AMPOULE MOUILLÉE
Pendant que l’appareil affiche le %RH mesuré, appuyer sur le bouton DIFF/WET BULB. Quatre tirets
s’afficheront sur l’écran, puis la température calculée à l’ampoule mouillée et W/BULB apparaissent à droite
de l’écran.
MESURER L’HUMIDITÉ RELATIVE
Placer la sonde d’humidité relative dans la prise T3 (située à droite de T2). Appuyer sur le bouton
%RH/TEMP 3. Quatre tirets s’afficheront sur l’écran, puis le pourcentage d’Humidité relative, le
symbol %RH et le numéro 3 apparaissent à droite de l’écran. Appuyer à nouveau sur le bouton
%RH/TEMP 3 pour afficher la température mesurée à la sonde d’humidité et le numéro 3 apparaît
à droite de l’écran. Appuyer à nouveau sur %RH/TEMP 3 pour revenir à la mesure %RH.
AFFICHER LES MESURES MIN / MAX
Le SRH77A affichera les températures minimales et maximales mesurées par T1, T2, TEMP
DIFF, ou T3 à partir de la mise en marche de l’appareil. Les valeurs MIN / MAX d’une sonde
peuvent être affichées pendant que cette même sonde est à l’écran. Exemple : Pendant que le
SRH77A affiche TEMP1, la température de T1 passe de 4,4°C à 37,8°C (40°F to 100°F), puis
redescend à 15,6°C (60°F). Maintenant on peut lire 15,6°C (60°F) sur l’écran. Appuyer sur le bouton MIN /
MAX. Les tirets s’afficheront, puis la valeur minimale de 4,4°C (40°F) apparaît pendant quelques secondes,
puis la température actuelle à la sonde 15,6°C (60°F) apparaît. Noter également que pendant que les valeurs
MIN / MAX sont affichées, les petits symboles à droite de l’écran clignotent pour indiquer que la fonction MIN
/ MAX est en marche. Ces symboles réapparaitront une fois que la mesure actuelle de la sonde s’affiche à
nouveau.
EFFACER LA MÉMOIRE MIN / MAX
Chaque sonde a sa propre mémoire MIN / MAX qui peut ètre effacée sans perdre les valeurs MIN / MAX
enregistrées des autres sondes. Exemple : Pour effacer les valeurs MIN / MAX de T1, appuyer sur le bouton
TEMP1 pour afficher T1. Aprés, appuyer sur le bouton MIN / MAX pour afficher les valeurs MIN / MAX de
T1. Pendant que les valeurs MIN / MAX apparaissent sur l’écran, appuyer à nouveau sur le bouton MIN /
MAX. Les lettres « CL » s’afficheront indiquant que la mémoire T1 a été effacée. Le SRH77A affichera T1 à
nouveau sur l’écran et enregistrera une nouvelle série de valeurs MIN / MAX. Pour effacer les valeurs des
autres sondes, procéder de la même façon. Si le SRH77A est éteint, les valeurs MIN / MAX de toutes les
sondes seront effacées.
REGLER L’ÉCHELLE DES TEMPÉRATURES
La température peut ètre affichée en °F ou en °C. Pour modifier l’échelle des températures,
pendant que le SRH77A est sous tension, appuyer sur le bouton °F/°C.
ILLUMINER L’ÉCRAN
L’écran du SRH77A peut ètre illuminé en appuyant sur le bouton LIGHT/OC. La lampe de fond
s’allumera automatiquement après environ 30 secondes, ou il peut ètre éteint en appuyant une
deuxième fois sur le bouton LIGHT/OC.
DÉSARMER L’ARRET AUTOMATIQUE
Normalement, le SRH77A s’éteint tout seul au bout de 15 minutes. Le fait d’appuyer sur n’importe quel
bouton repousse l’arret automatique de 15 minutes. Le technicien peut désarmer cette option d’arret
automatique en appuyant trois fois en 5 secondes sur le bouton LIGHT/OC. Le petit °F (ou °C si l’appareil
est en degrés Celsius) à droite de l’écran clignotera indiquant que le SRH77A est en mode « ON
CONTINOUS » (constamment allumé) et ne s’éteindra pas tout seul.
CHANGER LA BATTERIE
Quand la pile alkaline 9 volts du SRH77A doit ètre remplacée, « LOP » (Low Power, charge faible) s’affichera
sur l’écran. Remplacer la pile par une pile alkaline 9 volts neuve.
OPTION SIMULATEUR DE BATTERIE
Le SRH77A est équipé d’une prise de courant pouvant ètre branchée sur une autre source de courant.
Quand une autre source de courant est branchée sur le SRH77A, la pile ne se décharge pas. L’utilisation
d’une autre source de courant n’est conseillé que si le technicien pense utiliser l’appareil sur une période de
temps assez longue, ainsi qu’il est décrit dans la section « DÉSARMER L’ÉTEIGNAGE AUTOMATIQUE ».
Cet appareil n’est pas étanche. Ne pas le plonger dans l’eau pour le nettoyer. Si l’intérieur de l’appareil est
mouillé à cause du nettoyage, de la pluie ou de la condensation, il peut y avoir des mesures instables. Ne
pas utiliser pour des mesures médicales sur les êtres humains.
