Eos Configuration Utility

Overview

This appendix covers the Eos Configuration Utility (ECU) and
its use. This is a component of the Eos Lighting Control System
and is used for both system configuration and performing basic
level test functions of your Ion desk. These instructions
illustrate how to use the utility, but do not specify what changes
to make as these are based on your preferences and can be
changed to suit your control needs.

Ion uses the ECU for the same purposes as Eos. There is a section of the ECU dedicated solely to
the Ion desk. It grants you the ability to configure the DMX, MIDI, contact closure, and relay ports on
the back of the desk. For more information see

What the Utility Does

Here is a brief list of some of the actions that can be performed from the ECU.

• Choose to boot the desk in Primary, Client, Backup or Offline mode

• Set the date, time and time zone

• Change the language the system uses

• Change the alphanumeric keyboard layout

• Configure external monitors

• Update software

• Configure Ethernet network settings and services

• Deep clear the system

• Save log files

• Perform a simple button and encoder response test

• Using the file manager
