Description
There are several choices when selecting the position of the
IPitomy telephones; Low-profile desk mount, high-profile desk
mount and wall mount. In some cases the high-profile desk mount
position is not as high as the user desires. For this reason we have
developed a High-Stand that can be used alternatively to the stan-
dard mounting wedge that is shipped with the product. This Tech
Fact is produced to aid in the installation of the High Stand.
Procedure
1. Hold the telephone somewhat inverted against a soft surface… holding it in
your lap works well.
2. Press in with both thumbs at the points where the locking tabs secure
the wedge-mount to the telephone base. In the photo, one thumb is
seen exactly where you push down on one side. Your other thumb
goes where shown by the arrow.
3. On the phone base, locate the upper wall-mount
slotted post hole. This is where the High Stand
will be inserted.
4. Adjust the screw on the High Stand so that there
is about an eight-of-an-inch of threads visible be-
tween the screw head and the stand.
5. Position the High Stand screw in the upper slot-
ted hole so that the High Stand is angled toward
the front edge of the telephone.
6. Slip the High Stand Screw up into the
slot… when this is done the High Stand should
“seat” snug against the telephone base. If it is
lose (doesn’t fit tightly) remove and repeat from
step 4 adjusting the screw inward to tighten the
fit.
7. When installed, the High Stand fits tightly in posi-
tion and allows the telephone to be viewed easily
from a greater angle.
