Inbetriebnahme:
In das Gerät wird eine handelsübliche 9 V Blockbatterie eingesetzt. Einen
Schalter besitzt das Gerät nicht, es wird automatisch eingeschaltet, wenn Sie es
einem Mikrowellenherd nähern und Leckstrahlung festgestellt wird.
Jetzt wird der zu untersuchende Mikrowellenherd eingeschaltet (volle Leistung).
Mit der „Sensor-Seite" des Prüfgerätes nähern Sie sich den kritischen Stellen am
Mikrowellenherd (Türscharniere, Gehäuseöffnungen, Gummidichtungen) auf 0...3
cm oder mehr. Immer, wenn Mikrowellenstrahlung aus dem Herd austritt, leuchtet
die LED im Prüfgerät (je nach Intensität der Strahlung schwach oder heller).
Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Indikator nur das Vorhandensein von Leckstrahlung
anzeigt, nicht seine Stärke. Das Gerät kann nicht anzeigen, ob die Strahlendosis
normal oder gefährlich ist. Es kann aber z.B. beim Kauf von einem
Mikrowellenherd gute Dienste leisten, wenn man z.B. den Herd mit der geringsten
Leckstrahlung kauft! Oder man baut aufgrund der Messungen den Herd so ein,
dass die Leckstrahlung nicht direkt auf Personen zielt, die gerade am Tisch essen.
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung:
Aufspüren von Mikrowellenstrahlung außerhalb von Mikrowellenherden.

Setting into operation:
A commercial 9 V compound battery is to be inserted into the device. The device
has no switch, it is switched on automatically when approaching a microwave oven and a
leakage radiation is discovered.
Now the microwave oven to be inspected is turned on (full power). Approach the critical
points at the microwave oven (door hinges, case openings, rubbers seals) with the „sensor
side“ of the testing instrument at a distance of 0...3 cm or more. The LED in the testing
instrument always lights up (faint or brighter depending on the intensity of the radiation) if
microwave radiation escapes from the stove.
Please note that the indicator only indicates the existence of leakage radiation, but not its
strength. The device cannot indicate whether the radiation dose is normal or dangerous.
But it may be for example of great help when buying a microwave oven, if e.g. one chooses
the stove with the lowest leakage radiation! Or the stove is installed in such a manner that
on account of the measurements the leakage radiation does not directly aim at persons
who are just sitting at the table and having lunch.
