Rocker Cover Gaskets for V
2
-Style Engines
S&S now supplies dull grey, coated steel rocker cover gaskets for all
V
2
-style engines. These gaskets may be used interchangeably and
mixed with previous coated gaskets, which can be identified by factory-
applied red silicone bead on one surface. Newest gaskets do not
require silicone.
Both style gaskets should be installed “as is”. However, engine builder
may use a small dab of gasket adhesive to hold gasket in place during
engine assembly. Silicone sealant should not be used.
Current gaskets are embossed for improved sealing and can be
installed with either side up.
