The terminals have a lithium battery that is used by the real-time clock
and static RAM. It is not used for application backup or retention.

For the 700 to 1500 terminals, the lithium battery is intended to
be replaced during the life of the product.

For the 400 and 600 terminals, the lithium battery is permanently
connected and should be removed only by trained professionals
at the end of product life.

For information on battery removal for 400 and 600 terminals,

waste.

The collection and recycling of batteries helps protect the
environment and contributes to the conservation of natural
resources as valuable materials are recovered.
