INSTALLATION GUIDE

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:  THE OSRAM RLC22 LED 2X2 
FIXTURE IS FOR NON‐INSULATED GRID (T‐BAR) CEILING 
APPLICATIONS ONLY.    TYPE NON‐IC INSTALLATION ONLY. 
NO INSULATION MAY BE PLACED WITHIN 3” (76mm) OF ANY 
PART OF THE LUMINAIRE. FOR INDOOR INSTALLATION ONLY.  
SUITABLE FOR DRY LOCATIONS ONLY. SUITABLE FOR 
SUSPENDED CEILINGS.  DO NOT PUSH UP ON FIXTURE 
DIFFUSER DURING INSTALLATION. 

STEP 1:  CAREFULLY REMOVE THE FIXTURE FROM ITS 
SHIPPING BOX. 

 

 

 

STEP 2: CAREFULLY BEND THE INTEGRATED EARTHQUAKE 
CLIPS (4) AWAY FROM THE FRAME TO 45‐60 DEG (AS SHOWN 
BELOW) AND LOWER THE LUMINAIRE INTO THE T‐BAR 
CEILING PANEL. 

 

STEP 3:  AFTER THE LUMINAIRE IS SECURE IN THE CEILING T‐
BAR GRID, BEND THE INTEGRATED EARTHQUAKE CLIPS (4) TO 
90 DEGREES.

Failure to install the luminaire in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC), all applicable Federal, State
and local electric codes as well as the specific Underwriters Laboratories (UL) safety standards for the installation,
location and application may cause serious personal injury, death, property damage and/or product malfunction.
Designed for use in 120‐277V, 50/60Hz protected circuit, and 90

C rated supply wire. 

 
Protective hand gloves and eyewear should be worn to prevent injury.

These instructions are guidelines for installation of LED modules and power supplies. Installation requirements may
vary depending on the application. Licensed electricians should provide all installation services for connection for
both primary and secondary (input/output) of the power supplies.

Identification and Warnings of Safety Hazards
In accordance with ANSI Z535.4-2002 the following system of identifying the severity of the hazards associated
with the products is used:

 

Imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.

Potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.

Potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury or
property damage. Also used to alert against unsafe practices.

IGNORING A HAZARD WILL VOID ANY WARRANTY

Product is designed for Indoor Dry Location only installations.
