Using Video Phone

Sending a Snapshot

The Snapshot feature lets you capture one or more still photographs,
either before or after establishing a video call. The options in the
Snapshots menu correspond to the tabs you see along the bottom of the
Snapshots window.

□ My Snapshots temporarily holds snapshots you've taken.
□ Guest Snapshots temporarily holds snapshots you’ve received from a

connected party.

□ Take A Snapshot displays your live video and is the command post

for taking snapshots.

The My Snapshots and Guest Snapshots options retain snapshots only
while Video Phone is open. However, you can also save a snapshot to
disk, as described below.

1

Open Video Phone.

2

In the Snapshots menu, select Take a Snapshot.

The Take a Snapshot tab appears, displaying your live video.

3

When you see the image you want to capture, click the Snap button.

You hear a camera shutter sound.

4

View the snapshot you just took in the My Snapshots tab (it

automatically opens).

5

Click the Send button to send your snapshot to a connected party.

□ Click the Back and Next buttons to see other snapshots you’ve

taken.

□ Click the Save button to save the snapshot in .bmp (bitmap)

format. In the Save dialog box, name the file or use the name
provided, select a folder in which to save it and click Save,

□ Click Delete to remove the snapshot from the Snapshot window,

(If you’ve previously saved the snapshot, the copy you saved to

disk is not deleted.)

□ Click Load to open and view a saved snapshot.
