OPERATION

^ WARNING: Your sander should never be

connected to power supply when you are
assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, or
when not in use. Disconnecting sander will prevent

accidental starting that could cause serious

personal Injury.

AUXILIARY HANDLE

See Figure 2.

An auxiliary handle Is packed with your sander for ease of

operation and to help prevent loss of control. Any loss of
control could result in an accident, causing possible

serious personal injury.

The motor housings are designed so that the auxiliary

handle can be installed on either side of the unit.

To install:

■ Position washer Into place and start threads into the

threaded hole in the gear housing.

■ Tighten handle securely.

SPINDLE LOCK BUTTON

See Figure 3.

A spindle lock button has been provided for locking the

spindle of your tool in a stationary position. It is located on

the side of the gear housing as shown in figure 3. Depress

and hold the lock button while installing, changing, or

removing accessories,

A CAUTION:

Do not engage spindle lock while spindle

is rotating.
