Engine smokes excessi\ely.
1. Dirty air filter.
T. Clean or replace air filter.
2. Fuel misdure incorrecL
2. Verify y>u have 40-1 liiel mi}dure.
3. Carburetor requires maintenance.
3. Contact Sears Service Center.
Engine hard to start, will not
start or starts and only runs a
few seconds.
1. Fuel tank empty.
2. Engine flooded.
1. Fill tank with correct fuel mix
2. Remo\« and clean spark plug; with spark plug
removed and engine switched off, crank engine a few
fimes to remove excess fuel from cylinder. Reinstall
sparkplug.
3. Spark plug notfiring.
3. Replace spark plug.
4. Dirty air fitter.
4. Clean or replace air filter.
5. Carburetor requires adjustment
5. Contect Sears SerVce Center.
6. Stale fuel mix or water in fuel mix
