WARNING: To ensure safety and reliability, ail ijepairs should be per­

GENERAL

Only the parts shown on the parts list are intended for [repair or replacement by

the customer. All other parts represent an important part of the double insulation
system and should be serviced only by a qualified Seairs service technician.

WARNING: For your safety, ALWAYS turn off switch and unplug router mo­

tor from the power source before performing any mkntenance or cleaning.

It has been found that electric toois are subject to accelerated wear and possible

premature failure when they are used to work on fiber ¿lass boats and sports
cars, wallboard, speckling compounds or plaster. The chips and grindings from

these materials are highly abrasive to electrical tool pans, such as bearings,

brushes, commutators, etc. Consequently, it is not recommended that this toot

be used for extended work on any fiberglass material, Wallboard, spackling com­
pound or plaster. During any use on these materials, it s extremely important that

the tool is cleaned frequently by blowing with an air jetl

WARNING; Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side

shields during power tool operations, or when blovi[ing dust. If operation is
dusty, also wear a dust mask.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

. WARNING: DO NOT at any time let brake fluids,! gasoline, petroleum-

based products, penetrating oils, etc. come in contact with plastic parts.
Chemicals can damage, weaken or destroy plastic, which may result in seri­
ous personal injury.

® When work has been completed, dean the tool to dlow smooth functioning of

the tool over time.

a Use clean damp cloths to wipe the tool..

a Check the state of all electrical cables.

a Keep the router motor air openings free from oil, grease and sawdust or

woodchips, and store tool in a dry place.

a Be certain that all moving parts are well lubricated, barticulariy after lengthy

exposure to damp and/or dirty conditions.
