subject is within the flash shooting distance range
and shoot.

• The shutter cannot be released unless i appears without blinking in the
viewfinder.
• V in the viewfinder blinks approx. 3 sec. after full flash output. This may
indicate underexposure has occurred. Check the focus distance, aperture
or flash shooting distance range and shoot again.
• When the conditions for AF-Assist Illumination are met (page 43), the AF-
Assist Illuminator automatically turns on to guide autofocus.
• In Auto-Multi Program, the camera automatically controls maximum
available aperture according to the film speed. See page 87.
• Continuous shooting (Sj) cannot be used in flash shooting.
• With VR Nikkor lenses, the vibration reduction function when shutter release
button is lightly pressed does not operate while the built-in Speedlight is
charging.
