This exposure measurement method is used when the dia
phragm on the iens does not link with the meter coupiing lever
® on the camera body, such as when a non-AI lens or an exten
sion ring is mounted on the camera. The procedure is as follows:
1) Set the ASA/ ISO number.
2) Compose your picture and secure subject focus.
3) Press the shutter release button lightly to turn the meter on.
4) Perform exposure measurement, depending on the type of
lens used:
• Lens with automatic diaphragm
Determine the correct exposure while pressing the depth-
of-field preview lever ® , then take your finger off the lever
and depress the shutter release button.
