FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY USING EXTERNAL SPEEDLIGHT

The accessory shoe of the N4004s enables you to directly

mount Nikon dedicated electronic flash (speedlights). Nikon

Speedlights SB-24, SB-23, SB-22, SB-20, SB-15, SB-16B or

SB-18, enable you to use

programmed TTL auto mode

in

program or shutter-priority auto exposure mode. In aperture-
priority auto or manual mode, you can use

TTL automatic

mode.

Automatic balanced fill-flash is also possible with

external speedlight.

An external speedlight cannot be used when the built-in speed-

light of the

N4004S

is turned on. (They cannot be used

simultaneously.)

• For details on speedlight operation, see instruction

manual for speedlight.

• Use Nikon Speedlights. Other units may damage the

camera's electrical circuit due to incompatible voltage

requirements.
